Plano Flipsider™ 3-Tray 7603 Tackle Box

The affordable, quick-access convenience of Flipsider organization teamed with the traditional three-tray tackle box design favored by many fishing experts. Flipsider lets you get to often-used lures fast without opening the tackle box and hunting for them. Just flip open the transparent hard plastic cover on the top, and your favorite crankbaits and spinners are right there. Inside are three deep trays for additional items and a generous lower storage unit. Top has a carry handle and two drink holders. Dimensions: 17-1/4" x 10-1/2" x 7-3/4". Color: Copper/Silver.

"Whoever engineered/designed this box deserves a raise at Plano. Very well thought out. I researched the bags/boxes online from Cabelas, and narrowed my search to a few. Went to the store to sample my selections, and decided they weren't really what I was looking/hoping for. Then I ran across this gem. The salespeople had to think I was a moron, but I laid out this box next to many others on the floor, and was really impressed just how much more this box can handle and has to offer compared to the others. Compared to other boxes/bags, laid out side-by-side, this is a hands-down winner. I don't believe you will find a better quality tackle box for the money, for what it has to offer.

The quality is great, the latches work properly and tight, the top door is tight, and while the 3 tray mechanism isn't perfect, no one else's is either. Remember, its just plastic, not wood/metal. A previous poster mentioned his/her lures becoming displaced after the top is opened (the flipsider portion). Quick fix. They sell foam-like material at your hardware store. Since I have many baits/lures that aren't as deep as the wells in the top-loading portion of the box, I'm going to cut some foam material to stuff to the bottom, hence, raising the lures to the very top for easy access. Also, this foam material is sold in thin sheets. I'm going to cut a sheet to insert over the top of the lures, under the lid, which will keep all of them from becoming displaced upon opening the lids. They'll all stay neatly in place. As for the burrs/flashing that might be present on the box trays/lids, wherever, just grab some Fiskars, or a small pair of scissors and a file, and just cut and file away. There is no getting around the plastic intrusion process of manufacturing, you will always have burrs/flashing present on the finished product.

Again, great box for the money, and for what it has to offer anglers everywhere! Nice job Plano!"

"I've been out of the freshwater fishing game for a little while and now that I have the itch again decided to start rebuilding my tackle inventory. I bought this box because I wanted a medium size box that had some room. Boy was I happy I got this. It has an exterior compartment in the lid for lures to hang that make changing lures without having to fully open the box a snap. It has tons of room on the inside for everything else. I've got a lot of slots to fill, and will have room to spare for a while. This box is not bulky, but offers a ton of space. The bottom alone allows me to put my camcorder and camera in it without having to sacrifice anything. I may buy another one for my archery parts and accessories."

"I loved the idea of the box and it has good intentions but just needs to be improved on. For starters the see-thru top lid doesn't keep my lures in place when I open up the lid all the way thus making me have to fish them out of the hole. Also with the top part of the lid being there it does take away from the inside storage of the box. However if the box could keep my lures in place on top and had more storage inside, I would definately love the box."

"I got this for my brother for Christmas. The outer,see-thru lids will pop off at times and are tricky to get back on without breaking. The rest of the box is very nice and roomy."

"this is a good tackle box for the price, works well for a seat when you don't have any chairs, it can get kind of heavy walking to the lake tho, it would be better if it had a shoulder strap on it as well, but otherwise it's a great box."
