"My husband has spent too many years in the sun. He has always worn a baseball style hat. Recently he has had several pre-cancerous leisons removed plus a melanoma in the early stages. Our dermatologist gave us a catalog for protective sun hats, but they were really "dorky" looking on him. We tried several models and spent alot of money, but they all looked so bad he hated to wear them. Then we found this reasonably priced one at Cabelas. It protects his face, ears and neck and looks quite spiffy, too. We would recommend it to anyone needing this protection and would like to look smart, too. We have the SanJuan hat in 2 colors."

"Although the materials are not of the highest quality the hat is wonderful for use in the baking sun and rain. The rain does not soak through and simply drips off the edge of the hat. Good also with one side up for style."

A well made hat,

"This hat fits very nicely due to the elastic headband that is sewn into the rim. Given the fact that I perspire so heavily, I would have liked a band that was a little more thirsty, but this band should be fine for most people.
I wore it to the sporting clays range on a hot humid day and it performed very well.
It is sturdily built and the quailty of the materials seems excellent.
This hat will soon be going to Florida a week long vacation. I expect that the nice wide brim will keep the sun off of my face and ears at just about all times."

"Love this hat. I purchased this hat to go to Teton Pass In Wyoming with the Boy Scouts. It kept my head cool and the sun off my neck. Just as I had hoped."

"Great hat, good looking, comfortable and soaks up sweat like no other. However the chin strap is very wierd.
I live in the Mojave Desert in Cali and I wear this hat on all my hiking trips and outdoor activities.
Well worth the money. Go get ya one !"

"The hat is comfortable and sure to be long lived under most any condidtions. Haven't been able to figure out how the tie down cord works using two grommets on each side of the crown. No instructions came with it."

"This hat is comfortable and great sun protection and seems to be just the right weight for three season wear. There are 2 sizes and the first appears to be a little small as compared to the way the catalog says to compute sizes. The value of this item is outstanding."
