"I bought this hat in order to protect my ears and neck while fishing. That it does well but unfortunately the hat is bulky and heavier than I wanted. I was expecting a very lightweight hat that I could use during the summer in California but this one would actually make my head sweat. It has a little too much construction that makes it heavy. If you are fishing in sunny conditions where it is not too hot, then this hat may be perfect for you. It is well constructed."

"I purchased the cap but after trying it on I returned it. It was a little too oversized and ugly for me personally. I never did give it a field trial so it may work fine. I also have tried the other flats caps that Cabela's offers but have not found one that I am happy with. Maybe I'm just too particular."

"I didn't think it would get here in time for my last trip. Boy was I glad. Temps were 102 to 105 degrees and no shade to hide under. The flap kept my neck from burning and the ear covers kept them from being toasty. Too bad I wasn't fishing but with my job, it came in handy. Also, this cap kept my head cool,too."

"I wore the SunCutter cap on my trek up Mt. Elbert (14,443') last Saturday. It did a great job keeping my head cool under maximum exertion. The bill is just the right length for shading the eyes yet it allows for good forward vision. The headband kept the sweat contained, and the vents kept my head cool. The neck flap was comfortable and prevented sunburn. I'm buying one for my son who has climbed 15 of the 14ers and plans to climb them all."
