"Here we go....I took the advice of another review of this product and DIDN'T follow the product descriptions advice. I ordered the cover; first buy the beam and a foot shorter (19') for the length of my 20'1'' boat.
This covered fits the boat with with approximately 4'' below the rub rail all the away around (perfect). Things it covered; a gator mount Trolling motor, Pro pole (but) seat and a regular seat; all seats installed ready for fishing. There's a gap behind rear seat and the engine and the carpet will receive some rain on the battery compartment door.
The cover fits like a glove..the rachet straps are AWESOME any Very easy to adjust. I'll agree with others that stated that the cover needs another trailer strap to even out the vertical pull down tension/load. I took it down the road after installation (5 mile round trip) and reach a speed of 80 mph and the cover performed with out a flaw. We'll see when I take it for 400 mile round trip.
I'll also agree with the others on the engine cover...the mfg needs to address this problem with sewing is some type of vertical elastic strips too keep the clover snug to the engine to prevent it from flapping in the wind while trailering; just an idea... Probably won't use the engine cover while trailering.
I would have given it 5 stars but, the strap issue, the engine cover issue, lack of cover material behind the rear seat and I need to see the weather performance (suppose to get rain tomorrow). Hope it holds-up...6 year warranty, pretty impessive. Hope this helps....best looking cover that I've had for under $300."

"It's a good cover. It's not a Ranger cover, but better than most. But it REALLY needs more tiedowns to be a good travel cover....... 2 on each side spaced between the 3 that are already there would be perfect. For those that are thinking about buying this cover .... the motor cover is not going to stay going down the road so don't even try ..... or at least not until it's redesigned with actual tiedown straps. Also, the vents need to be moved more toward the center of the cover ...... mine align right on the topcap as the topcap rolls over toward the rubrail.
All and all, it's a good cover. I bought the 18'6" cover for my 18'5" boat and it fits with plenty left over. My boat has the Minn Kota Maxxum on it and dual console."

"I bought the 18"6 cover for my 18'4 Champion Super V. I have two pedestal seats, and a 12" windshield, and a trolling motor on the starboard side. I'm very pleased with the construction and materials used. The motor cover included is ample sized for my Mariner 150. I have two problems that made me give 4 stars instead of 5. 1: the cover is cut for a full transom/stern, not an angled transom like that on a Champion, so there is a lot of material that hangs off the rear corners. It's not pretty but I made it work. 2: the cover needs two more tie downs on each side. I will only use the cover for storage so I can't tell how it travels while towing, however I can see that the motor cover would need some further attention to stay on while travelling. If you are looking for an excellent cover for your boat, this is it. Priced nice, well constructed, and fast delivery."

"I just purchased the 17' 6" charcoal Ratchet Lok Boat Cover and I can not currently recommed the cover at this time. I have a "04" PT 175 Tracker and the length is 17' 3", and the beam is 83". Althought the 17' 6" is larger than I needed, after reading the reviews, I decided on this size. It fit but I beleive I could have used the 17" cover. The cover needs re-enforcement for the windshield and trolling motor. The vents should be moved towards the center of the cover about 1 ft more, as well as adding 1 more tie down strap on each side. I really like the ratchet straps, I was able to cross them over, across my jet and use the trailer boat tie down points. Just ratchet it up after pulling the straps tight around the boat and it seems like a snug fit. If the cover sheds water and it doesn't puddle on the boat, I would recommend it to my friends."

"I purchased the 18'6" model for my 1991 18' Ranger 692. My boat has the full walk through tall windshield and has a 90" beam. The cover was way too long for my boat, I'd recomend ordering the exact size you need for length in the bass walleye model cover, they already make room for the trolling motor on this model of cover. Also due to the windshield height it was too narrow for my boat. It would work fine with plex-glass windshields since they are usually shorter than the walk throughs. I also tried the cover on my new boat a 1998 19' Yar-craft 192 Bay De Noc, it fit perfectly with the trolling motor removed. This boat is a single console with plex-glass windshield and has a 92" beam. I would need to go with the 19' cover for the this boat if I wanted to leave the trolling motor in place. I was happy with the quality of the cover and the ratchets are a very nice feature. I could see from just a quick fitting that I would add more tie down straps around the cover, three on each side would not hold the cover tight for my application. I would have kept the cover for my Yar-craft but it was the wrong color. Over all a good product, and Cabelas Customer service was great with letting me return the cover since it didn't fit the Ranger."

"Just drug my boat 1100 miles and needed a cover. I always buy semi-customs and have had several from different manufacturers. I was apprehensive about this cover, but was needing one badly and this one was on sale for a very attractive price.
I carefully set up the cover for the trip using all the basic rules of trailering with a cover, kept my speed reasonable (below 70 MPH), and this cover outperformed every cover I have ever owned.
It is now protecting my beloved Walleye sled from the searing Southern California sun and awaiting our next adventure as we head up North to the mighty Columbia and the land of the leg sized Wally Gater!"

"My experience with this model of cover is that it consistently runs large - so large, that I had to return the first one ordered because it was a full foot too long and almost as wide.
However, by ordering a cover that should have been a half-foot too small for my bass boat, I found it fits like a glove.
The quality of construction is quite good, although the cover could use at least 3 additional tie down points for trailering.
The lack of instructions makes first-time fitting a chore.
The mesh carry bag is a nice touch, as is the separate motor cover. However, you'll need to use an extra cord to keep it on the motor - only a drawstring keeps it from flying off.
Even with the limitations above, this cover is another quality Cabelas item, and with the excellent customer service offered, you can't go wrong."
