Almost 5 star but...,

"This is a very handy tool, especially for fishing tackle. Almost a 5 star but it is just a bit too loose for my liking. I think it needs to have a bit of tightness at the hinge just to keep the adjustment where it is and will open or close only when force is applied. That's just me."

"there pliers are well made. They have a heavy duty split ring tool built into the tip. So much nicer than other who have light duty tools built on. The fact that its all stainless steel means I dont have to worry about rain getting on them. I definetely recommend these pliers."

"I've used a pair of these for two years fishing strictly in saltwater. They have seen extensive use taking hooks out of fish, cutting line, bending hooks back in shape, crimping barbs, etc. They are built tough and function well. Although they are made of stainless steel they do tend to develope rust spots. A quick rub down with a silicone/oily cloth after each outing keeps the rust at bay. I'd recommend these pliers to anyone. With a little care, they'll perform as well as pliers costing much more."

"The pliers are fine. There is one addition that would make them more salable and useful in locations were they would be carried by steelhead and salmon fishermen. If they had a stainless steel punch that could punch a hole in a flatten piece of lead. the pliers are all ready strong enough to flatten the sinker material used by drift fishermen. If they had a stud to punch a hole so a snap could attach the lead to the drift rig they be 5 star. the lead is soft enough so that when it gets caught on the bottom the steel snap could cut its way thru the lead."
