"This was my first pair of snow shoes I bought. I weigh over 200 lbs. and with this shoe I hardly sink in. I actually accidentally walked out onto a small stream that was barely skimmed over with ice and this shoe kept me from falling through. The bindings aren't to hard to hook up and they fit my over sized cold weather muck boots. Cant weight for more snow!!!"

"overall quality is good to excellant. Used them once, found the bindings to be very good. The only problem I found was that the fastening bolts that are used to secure the bindings were lose. In fact I found that on the larger size snowshoe that was shipped to me was missing two bolts entirely from the area that secures the binding. I replaced the bolts myself."

Good Features, ... But,February 21, 2008

"Would give these snowshoes a 5, except for their support rating. I really like the ratchet bindings, even on the heel, and the HD crampons. However, I weigh 185 fully dressed and maybe 190 with winter boots and a heavy coat. The rating for the 9x30 at 225 lbs is totally unrealistic. With a lightly packed (not powder) snow depth of about 12-15" these shoes sunk into the snow about 8-9" and I think they would be dangerous in anything over 20". After packing a trail, they did just fine. I am disappointed that Cabela's did not offer the 10x35 model. They are a really class outfit and I don't feel like taking these back for something different just because they have an outstanding customer service policy. My advice is to stay away from these if you are an average-sized adult male and get a larger shoe if you will be in snow deeper than 12". I think Cabela's Outfitter Pro 9.5/36 would be a better choice if you couldn't get these Redfeathers in the 10/35 size. The latter would be my preference."

"i used this product the other day and it works awesome..the only down side that i had with it , is that the camo on the snowshoes is not neatly as bright as it is in the picture..its more of a really dark brown and you can just barely make out the pattern"

"I used this product for the first time yesterday- packed out elk camp on foot from 2 miles in at 8,000 feet ahead of a blizzard. We packed out 50 lbs packs through 6-9 inches of snow- the snowshoes were fantastic. good side to side stability, easy to maintain a natural stride, and for the weight capacity (I bought the heaviest rating), they were very lightweight compared to other shoes I have used in the past.
Worth packing in! I look forward to using them in the future, including some recreational day trips in the off season with the pooch and will update my rating accordingly at that time."
