"I've only had the charger installed in my boat for about a month, but so far, so good. It remains to be seen whether this charger will boil my batteries during winter storage as others have, but if not, I'd change my rating to five stars. Two comments; first, it would be nice to have a pair of led's (one for ea. connected battery) vs. just one so I could see the state of charge of the individual batteries and, second, there's a "trick" question on the warranty card. There is no serial number on the unit or box, even though the card asks for one. In fact, Guest told me they don't want the card back - - just hold onto the receipt for proof of the date purchase."

"I installed this charger on my boat in a couple of hours easily. I had to buy extra wire and shrink wrap to lengthen the wires leading to the two batteries that make up the 24 volt system for the trolling motor. I timed the first charge and it actually came in under the time they stated on the specifications. The installation manual warned of the possibility of overheating, but I've yet to notice any problems whatsoever. This charger works perfectly and is so convenient. Plug it in and forget about it."

"I bought one of these chargers and installed it on my boat and while fishing I noticed that my trolling motor just did not seem to have the power it should. When I returned from fishing I charge the batteries until the green light came on. Then I connected a regular charger to one of the batteries and it was pulling 4 amps. I called Guest and they told me to check the output of the charger, I did, and it was OK. They did not know what was wrong. I took an old Guest charger off my boat because is was doing the same thing, but looks like the new ones aren't any better."

"The unit is great but the wires going to the battery are to short if you have a jetboat like mine the batteries are on each side of the boat in the back and there is no where to mount the charger in the middle because of the motor so if I mount the charger on one side of the boat the wire is about three feet to short to reach the other battrey. Nice unit but not setup for all boats I guess they made it that way so that you buy there extra wires."
