Save your energy for paddling, not getting to the water! The Yaksling is the easy way to carry your kayak
and paddle. The lightweight design is self-contained, as all parts fold back into the mesh bag for storing
behind the seat. The mesh bag is attached to the comfortable shoulder pad and cam buckles adjust to
cinch down to your size of kayak. Shoulder harness is adjustable to any length you could need. When you
get home, you can even use it to hang your kayak on the wall. Works on any whitewater, sit-on-top or
touring kayak.

more would be better,July 27, 2009
By gasdcfrom Redding, CA
"Does all it's advertised to do, but shoulder pad could be a bit more substantial. More padding would help."

Why are they smiling???,July 6, 2009
By NoWimpfrom Tahoe Basin
"I waited with anticipation for my shoulder carrier to arrive. I did not want the bulk of storing wheels while paddling. The joy and excitment ended shortly after it was delivered. I have a 39 pound kayak and it was easily hefted to my shoulder and balanced... but it dug into muscle by the should joint after about 50-60 yards uphill. The Yaksling basically did the same thing. The shoulder pad in extremely light weight and the actual strap ends up feeling just like the side of the cockpit of my kayak. Additionally, as you walk it tends to bang against what ever part of you lines up with the bottom of the kayak... on me that was the outside part my knee. You are going to need a "shoulder sling" after using the "Yaksling" if you are going any distance. I bought wheels."

Yaksling Kayak Shoulder Carrier,August 13, 2008
By Jeepmama13from Woodstock, GA
"The straps are way to small to hold the weight of a kayak. I tried it once and it dropped the kayak as I was carrying it. I would not waste my time getting this product."

good product,September 12, 2007
By billjackfrom Michigan
"I have a 12' recreational kayak and the Yaksling works really well transporting my boat short distances. The shoulder strap has some padding to it, but is not very effective. I just drape a beach towel over my shoulder and it works much better. The leashes are very adjustable and the kayak stays pretty balanced once over your shoulder. The Yaksling folds up neatly into it's own bag and stores away in the dry compartment in the event you need to portage enroute. Not a perfect product, but makes transporting my 12' kayak way easier and far less clumsy."

Kayak carrying sling,July 13, 2007
By CaptFlashfrom Jacksonville, FL
"Not a good product for me, as I'm rather tall (6'3") and the straps that make up the sling are too short, requiring me to really have to bend over to start the lift of the kayak. Plus, my kayak is rather large and heavy (ocean Kayak Big Game), which makes it difficult to move around with this sling system. I went and spend the money on a good set of kayak wheels instead...much better option than this kayak sling system."

Kayak Shoulder Harness,June 19, 2007
By Wesson
"The instructions for assembling the harness were inadequate, resulting in multiple attempts and knots when trying to use the carrier. The end use does not look like the photo in the catalog."

Yak sling,May 30, 2007
By KayakManiac
"Not an easy thing to use - adjustments are difficult and it's not comfortable. I have yet to get the paddle adjustment correct. The mesh bag is scratchy on the skin. I would rather carry my kayak on my head than spend the time and effort getting the Yak sling adjusted."
