I wouldn't Trade Them,

"I received the Cabela Knives and a Cuisinart Knife Set for Christmas. The Cabela Knife set was the most comfortable knife I have ever handled. The weight is distributed evenly and the handle is formed for hands. Needless to say we sent the other set back and are completly happy with our choice. I read that the bread knife sticks through the block and that is not the case with our set. I would say "go for it"!"

"Knives are better than promised. Great set for the price. Have had the knives for about 1.5 months and they perform
better than any set we have purchased. Would recommend these knives to anyone. knife holder is very attractive as well."

"Very good quality. Probably the best knives you can get for the price.
Also some reviews complained about the bread knife sticking out of the bottom. This must have been corrected because none of my knives do."

"So far I've been very happy with the knifes. They are sharp and hold an edge well with a little touch up after each use. The set also looks good on the counter top becuase of the wood base. My only concern is that a few spots of rust have shown up on some of the blades. However, drying them immediately after each wash has stopped the rust from appearing."

"I thought I was getting a good knife set, but I am pretty disappointed in the quality of the set. As others have stated the bread knife goes all the way through the block and hits the counter, which could cause scratching. I would not get this set and am in fact returning it."

"A very nice, quality set, easily twice the price for a similar set of name brand set. One thing I don't like is that the bread knife is too long for any of the slots. It sticks out the bottom of the block, and will scratch counter tops. Easily fixed though with some tape on the bottom of the block to keep the knife from going too far."

"The knife set was found to be very durable and came with a great selection of tools. The base is solid and doesn't slide around on the counter. The knives are extremely sharp and are maintaining a great edge. Handle design is easy to grip even with wet hands. Wonderful knife set at a reasonable price."

"This knife set is really nice. It's got a great one piece metal construction that doesn't get food build-up by the handle. The rubberized handles are nice too and feel comfortable in your hand. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 star for me was the bread knife slot isn't deep enough. It goes all the way thru to the counter. I tried other slots and you can't really change them around. Still it's right around 4 to 4.5 star for me."
