Great for fast removal for cleaning rifle,January 5, 2009

"The fit and workman ship is 100%.. Seems that the metal is of high value and the tool work is also above normal standards.. Both rings center well with each other.
Once the tabs are adjusted for the right angle when tight,, its just a matter of flipping the tabs, rock the scope sideways and the scope comes right off.. Going back together is just as fast and simple.. I have not noticed any changes in sighting once removed and replaced which I have done 5 or 6 times now to clean the rifle.
The listing stated that it fit all CVA rifles.. Well it did,, but did not. The holes in the scope base matched the barrel holes fine,, but the screws that came with the kit were a size too small to fit my holes for the Accura rifle with the SS Bergara Barrel. So a heads up for all with the top dollar ss Bergara barrel. Now the screw kit would fit my other CVA rifles with the standard barrel as the holes in them were the smaller size.
I emailed the company and with in 9 days they sent me the right screws for my Accura at no charge.
So folks,, I found a company who stands behind the product."

"If your thinking about buying this product, dont. Spend the extra money on the T/C set or a set that is made of steel.This set of rings seems to be made from nothing but aluminum and the threading in the rings will strip with out much effort.If they would have made torx srews longer it may have been a little better but with the screws included with the set only approx. 3 threads grab.I tried to mount a Nikon ProStaff 2x7x32. Also found that they are painted black and the paint will flake off very easy."

"I have been so frustrated with cheap rings and bases on nice guns, all the alluminum mounts I HAVE TRIED ARE INCOSISTANT FROM YEAR TO YEAR. People dont realize how important it is to have a good mounting system. I have never heard of Durasight before but Leopold better watch out this company builds quality, and Cabelas sells quality."

"These rings and base combo are unreliable. I could not sight in my new Remington Genesis Muzzle Loader with this set-up. I put the rifle away and used my old Remington 700 Muzzle Loader with Leupold QD rings and base to hunt with. It remains to be reliable year after year. When I can find a different base and rings that are reliable, I will trash the CVA Durasight setup."
