Lost GPS,

"I purchased the GPS buddy-lok this spring looked like a great product used it for the first time this past week tracking a deer the case twisted and fell off the fanny pac and I did not notice until we returned to the truck I would not keep anything of value in any of the cases as they do not stay locked."

"This case is great. As I later found out though, Buddy-Lok is a sub-optimal system for accessory pouches. Recommend that if you are a serious outdoors person, you select gear that incorporates MOLLE-type fastening straps--they are much more secure, and do not rely on a plastic/fabric sewn joint."

"A must have item to keep your GPS unit protected and operational. Easy access when needed and has enough open space to maintain satelite contact verses buried in your pocket or vest.
My son is borrowing it for his season now, so it looks like a good Christmas present for the stocking."

"anybody seen my new 300 dollar rangefinder? it's out in the woods somewhere, still in it's buddy lock case. the problem is that anything that you bump into can cause a buddy-lock to rotate which makes it a buddy-unlock. if you don't hear it fall it's gone until the next time you trip over it. i still use a buddy lock canteen holder ( the canteen is heavy enough that i always hear it fall) but my new 300 dollar rangefinder travels in a safer container. my suggestion is that you find a pack with permanent compartments that suits you and forget about buddy lock."

"I got a few different sizes of these because I wasn't sure which would be the best for my needs. They will all be used. They lock in very tight and I have no worries that they will fall off. They are also very well padded."

"My Garmin CSX60 fits well into this accessory pouch, although the verticle dimension could be a little more generous, or a different design to better accomodate the antenna. The only significant weakness is the closing buckle system. The elastic will deteriorate over time, and the closure will be difficult to fasten/unfasten when wearing gloves and may even require two hands to open/close. Some sort of quick-release buckle would be a definite improvement. If you aren't careful to secure the closure, you may come home without your GPS/radio. The Buddy-Lok system is a strong plus when used in conjunction with a compatible pack or fanny-pack system."

"This case attached well to the backpack I have and has the capacity I seek. Time will tell if it cause problems as I hike and hunt. My test use in the Cascades last month were very positive, but I wasn't hunting or working with tools. I used it for my GPS or Cell Phone and found it handy and secure."

Rino 120- just barely,

"My Rino 120 GPS/radio just barely fits in the 3"x6" model, and that's with the antenna sticking out. Any longer radio should be in the 4"x8" case. I've attached it to the shoulder strap of my Camelbak Striker without any trouble."

"Over all good, worked in blowing snow and rain on an early Elk hunt no moisture got inside. Pen sleeves on sides worked great for speed loads and held a short rod for a muzzleloader. It is to big for a Garmin eTrex as shown to small for the Rino series. Locking catch is rinky-dink it should be replaced with velcro."
