The innovative labs at Thompson Center have developed the first sabot that can be loaded easily with
one hand. The synthetic material used to create this easy-loading round is a two-petal design that
provides optimal support to the bullet as it travels through the barrel and then cleanly breaks away. The
result is downrange performance and accuracy superior to that of four-petal designs. Super Glides are
engineered to withstand the high pressures associated with shooting magnum loads. Made in
USA. Per 15. Specify.

no punch,December 30, 2009
By Ant58from Jersey Pine Barrens
"The salesmen recommended these bullets for the TC I purchased. They would not hold a pattern. The first deer I shot the bullet pass right throught with 100 gr of powder. Had to track the deer a good distance. I always use a 300 gr bullet. The deer I shot with 300 gr bullet ran about 30 feet and fell. I am sure somebody likes this bullet just not for me."

T/C Shockwave,December 15, 2009
By NEBuckFvrfrom Omaha, NE
"I have used these bullets in my Thompson Center Pro Hunter for several years now and they are one awesome performing bullet. I use both 150 grain and 100 grain Triple Seven pellets with these bullets and my groups at 80 yards are less than 1 inch. I have dropped 3 deer in their tracks and to say I was impressed would be an understatement."

Superb!,December 12, 2009
By VTbearslayerfrom Vermont
"I started muzzleloading last year, so this is my second year using these bullets. On the range they are amazing. I can easily (well, maybe there's a little effort involved) put my shots in a 1.5-2.5 inch group at 100 yards. That's pretty good considering that's also how I group for the most part with my .270. They can be really hard to load, but with a light coating of "Bore Butter" they slide down the barrel easy as can be. Today I shot my first deer with a muzzleloader (and this bullet) and I was really impressed. A nice big doe walked in at around 65 yards. I made a very slight quartering away shot about halfway back the ribcage and halfway up the body. When I got up to track her she had only gone 20 yards and dropped (using a TC Omega with two 777 50 grain pellets) I don't know what this bullet would have done going through the shoulder, but I imagine it would do fine. The entry and exit wounds were good. One thing I did notice though was that she didn't bleed at all, so if she had actually run any distance it might have been hard to find her. Overall though this is a great bullet. I have no reason to stop using them, so until I do I will keep using them. Good bullet!"

tack driving accuracy,December 4, 2009

"This is my first muzzleloading experience and I can't be more happy. I use this bullet/sabot combo over 100gr 777 pellets with winchester 209 primers . I sighted in at 50yds and set my sights 1 inch high, this load will put two bullets thru the same hole dead on the nuts."

"I'm shooting a T/C Triumph and these Bullets shoot great, and group even better, Unfortunately the Sabot that is packaged with it loads terrible in my Triumph, If you are shooting a .50 I would suggest Harvester Crush Rib .50/.45 sabots with a .45 Shockwave, your upper body will thank you later!"

NO BLOOD Small Exit Hole,November 24, 2009
By IndianaMeatHunterfrom Northern Indiana
"Had two bad instances with these bullets. First, shot a 8pt buck at 100yds, perfect shot placement deer ran 80 yds with no blood trail. Good thing it was an open field or I may not have found him. Second. Shot a doe at 20 yds, double lung she ran 450 yds again in an open field so tracking was easy but blood was very spotty, never really opened up on the exit of the bullet. On a good note they do shoot very well at the range and are accurate but when you hunt to eat, finding you kill is very important."

"i tried the t/c super glide 50 cal. /250 grain sabots in my encore with 150 grain white hots. after trying many combinations, this was by far the most consistant combination. i was shooting 1 and a half inch groups at 100 yards and did not experience any add'l fouling due to the super glide jackets. i'm a believer !!"

Deadly with EXACT shot placement, No blood trails,November 23, 2009
By wrstreborfrom League City, TX
"Long story short, I just got back from a Pike County Illinois Deer hunt. Shot 3 deer only recovered one. This bullet is the most accurate bullet on the range. Two hundred yards and a 2" group with the 250 grain and three pellets. You have to understand, my marksmanship is excellent in my opinion. The same can be said about my father. He was on this hunt with me. He used the exact bullet and load combination. Shot a doe, never recovered. Now you can say shot placement was not where it should have been. That is not the case! Video does not lie. All harvest were videoed and reviewed. Busting the shoulders on the three deer that were not recovered. The 152 class 10 point buck I dropped in its tracks. That was a deliberate shot placement into the back bone at 200 yards. WOW! FACT: The three deer that were not recovered, did not leave a blood trail for over 40 yards from point of impact. NOT GOOD!
Insult to injury: The first buck I shot was 190 class 10 point.
Now for the rest of the story. The outfitter I hunted with also had a TV crew in camp, that also used this same bullet. Lost two B&C bucks this weekend due to no blood trail after shot. Same story for the deer that were harvested using this bullet, was that the blood trails were 30 - 50 yards before finally picking up a blood trail. Just not enough expansion or shock upon impact to make a quick and human harvest. Little hole in and same size out.
Shoot at your own risk, Accurate (Yes), Weight Retention (90% after you hit bone), Deep Penetration (Yes), Recommended for Whitetail (NO, NO, NO unless you are sniper accurate for every shot)"

3 years 3 bulls,November 8, 2009
By rtwilliams68from Utah
"Awsome bullet. I have used them with my T/C for the last three years. I have killed 3 bull elk. The elk combined have not traveled beyond 150 to 200 yards. This years 5x5, was shot quarting away, bullet entered by the last couple of ribs, and was recovered in the opposite shoulder. The bull went 10 feet. This is the only bullet I have ever recoverd. They usually pass through tearing a big hole. Great groups with my gun."

Great sabots,November 3, 2009
By BrentAchfrom Wilmington, OH
"I shot the T/C super glide sabots last season and loved them. They were easier to load then the sabots I used before. With them and my Traditions Pursuit XLT I was able to bring down a doe at 165 yds, needless to say I have bought more for this year."

Shockwave Sabots,October 8, 2009
By marshjpfrom Peoria, IL
"I've used PowerBelts for years and decided to try these T/C Super Glide Shockwave Sabots. It feels like they kick a little harder than the PowerBelts. Even with the "Super Glides", the Shockwaves definitely fit a lot tighter than the others. I can't get a 2nd sabot down without swabbing the barrel with a patch.
My pattern with the PowerBelts was around 6" @ 100 yards. Now, I've narrowed it down to less than 2" @ 100 yards.
I'd recommend them to a friend, but as all of you have read before, not every bullet works best for every gun. Shoot some and see how they react for you."

Find what works best for you !,October 6, 2009
By JJAMIfrom Menominee , MI
"I purchased a new CVA optima mag. this year . I bought 3 different types of ammo to see what shot the best . I made my desicions based on reviews and hear say . First I tried the platinum series power belt bullets. They loaded easy and shot 1 1/2 " groups at 100 yds. Next I tried the super glide shockwave bullets . They loaded a little harder but not terrible. They shot about 6-8 " groups at 100 yds . The last one will be the hornady lock n load which I have on order and I'm waiting for . I shot all bullets into a sand hill and retrieved all bullets after being shot . The powerbelts all mushroomed exactly the same , all the way down to the bottom to the size of a quarter. The shockwaves mushroomed differently on each shot . Some very little and some most of the way down . I'm not an expert with bullet design but I'm pretty sure bullets are designed to kill by shock and devastation. The T/C shockwave , in my opinion is not a bullet for shooting deer . Do your research , and see what shoots best for you !"

"I was shooting groups of 3 inches at 100 yards, .50 cal/250 gr. Used 100 grains of Hodgdon Triple 7 pellets (two pellets). Accuracy is there. Will have to wait another month to test expansion during PA's muzzleloader season."
