"I've owned many hunting boots over the years. But these are the most comfortable ones I have ever tried, bar none! Although I didn't buy them for the Snake Proof feature, I do go through a lot of Briars. In the 8 days I've had them I've hauled them 300 miles, walked them 20+ miles, walked through 12 " water. I have trailed dozens of deer, and climbed many trees. I world recommend them to anyone unless they wear a 11D, since those are all mine.

"I looked at a lot of different brand names of snake boots and decided to go with these boots and I love them they are very comfortable right out of the box. Great pair of boots I do a lot of hiking and feel much more secure wearing these boot in some of the areas where I hike. No regrets at all on my purchase."

"BOOTS ARE VERY HARD TO GET ON AND OFF. I HAD BLISTERS AFTER A FULL DAY OF WEARING THEM BECAUSE THEY DO NOT FIT VERY SNUG. I DON'T THINK A SMALLER SIZE WOULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE. THEY ARE WELL MADE AND LIGHT WEIGHT BUT THEY WERE NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL."

"I have purchased 4 pair of snake boots and these are the ones. I hunted all turkey season in and out of water wearing them all day long and have yet to get my feet wet are rub blesters. The othe 3 pair I have purchased rub blisters are got my feet wet. I am very rough on boots and these I could work in all day. I will say if you have big calves you may not want these boots. I love them!! Dry and blister free feet for my first turkey season in 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Great boots so far. Very comfortable, and a stable fit. Construction is excellent and the sizing is true. I wore these boots this past weekend for the last day of archery/muzzleloader deer season down here in NW Florida. They still have a little more breaking-in to do, as I needed to remove the in-soles for a little more room. But, that could have been due to wearing a thick pair of socks, and poly-pro liners. Temps were down into the low 30's, and these boots are not insulated. I purposely walked into some water holes to test the gortex liner, and they passsed with flying colors. As far as the snake bite protection......I never want to take that test.
My only complaint would be the difficulty in taking the boots off. But hey, these boots have no laces and are knee high. Great job Cabelas!!"

"Great boot. Fits well, and easy to break in. I bought a pair late fall after stepping on a snake in knee high grass. I immediately went and ordered a pair. Haven't had a chance to test them in the snake infested spring turkey woods I hunt, but I'm fully confident in them. Quality boot, and the piece of mind you get from the 17" high boot is priceless."

"If you are looking for a great snake proof boot this is the answer. Its extremely light weight and has plenty of flexibility in the ankles while walking. They are a little snug in the ankles but become better with wear. Have worn them multiple times already late summer and they are not to hot even here in Texas."

"After shopping for "the right boot" for over a year, I finally made the decision on the El Dorado. Opening day of Dove season here in the Texas Panhandle was hot. I put them on early that morning and took them off about 10 p.m. Interestingly, my feet never got hot. As hot as it was outside and as much as I was on my feet that day, I really thought I'd be soaked, but I was completely dry, almost no sweat. The boots were comfortable right out of the box. I do have smaller ankles so they did feel a little bunched at the bottom of the tops, but otherwise I am very glad they're mine."
