BUY ONE!,November 11, 2009
By 257Robertsfrom E. OR
"I can't say enough good things about this shirt. I've had mine for at least four years, and literally wear it six months out of the year. It's comfortable and wears like iron. The buttons aren't attached with much sincerity, but all the seams are strong and straight. I fix the buttons as they start to come loose. I love my shirt so much I bought a second one to start wearing several years from now when my first one finally wears out."

Washable wool whipcord shirt,September 30, 2009
By bluesquirrelfrom Gustavus, AK
"I really love this shirt. It is perfect for the Alaska outdoors. It sheds water, is quiet in the woods, and is warm. Best, it can be washed without shrinking. It would be nice if it was available in other colors than Forest Service/Park Service green."

Shirt/jacket,June 16, 2009
By Boots4from Tn & SC
"The whipcord wool shirt is a real true outdoors shirt, tough, warm, functional. Fits well. Also performs well as a light jacket. Would not want to be caught in an elk camp w/o mine. This is not the first whipcord one I've owned but it is the first Superwash. I like it very much and think the ability to wash it will be an assett. Now how about offering the old standby Cruiser jacket in the superwash wool whipcord, mine is an old Herters, showing it's 30+ years of age"

Excellent Shirt,April 1, 2009
By PKAlaskafrom Ester, AK
"This is a real good quality shirt, comfortable and warm. I had already owned the whipcord pants which I found to be an economical substitute for more expensive Filsons. The material is the same as the pants and has proved to be quite durable. I like the cut of the shirt and the expandable pockets. I recently wore this shirt as my secondary layer on a week long snowmachine expedition in Alaska's interior with temperatures never getting above zero during the day and plunging as low as -35 at night. The shirt did its job, both on the trail by day and in the wall tent at night."

Nice shirt,March 10, 2009
By Yellowflowerfrom Pittsburgh PA
"Material is very smooth and very tightly woven - feels more like silk. Cut is generous. Does not have that fuzzy wool felt feel but seems bulletproof, water just runs off it. Well constructed."

Don't wash it,January 31, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Fenton, Missouri
"I have had this shirt for a few years. I always had it dry cleaned and I was very pleased with the shirt. The fit, finish and feel are very good and it appears that it will last many winters. However, DO NOT WASH. Even though the instructions say you can, don't do it. I was in a place where I couldn't get it dry cleaned and so I washed the shirt exactly according to the directions. After washing the finish is not the same and the shirt shrank almost a full size. The sleeve length and body length got hurt the most. So, yes, I would recommend the shirt to a friend as long as he only dry cleans it!"

Great shirt,October 11, 2008
By littlejon57from Arkansas
"This is a great shirt for cool fall weather. It is tightly woven wool, thin but warm. I used it in Montana for September archery season over a base layer and under a windshear microfleece henley. This was a perfect combination-not bulky, quiet and comfortable."

Great,October 7, 2008
By UpNorthStateofMindfrom Minnesota
"Very nice shirt/jacket to add to the collection. Great item that can be worn as part of weekend work or hunting layers. I agree with others that say this is closer to a jacket than a shirt. I mainly use it as a jacket, but holds up well to walking through brush, does not snag easily. I am already planning on ordering two more for my brother and dad for the holiday season. I would add that these shirts still have the "itch" like old wool, they are not some super soft shirt with wool properties, just so you are aware if you can't stand the itch of wool at all."

The best shirt ever made,April 8, 2008
By spstr2002from N.W. Indiana
"This is my second one, I have a green one too. It is missing in action, I think it is in my camper that is in storage. The shirts are very warm, wind proof, very hard finish, not scratchy, and wash up great, no shrinkage, and will last a life time it looks like, I wear them hunting, (got me through November in Utah Elk hunting), in the winter, working, and in the summer in the Upper Pennisula of Michingan, just to keep the chill off and the mosquitos at bay. I may buy another, wish there was one more color so I had an excuse. You can wear them day after day if you don't spill anything, and even then it runs off most times. The best shirt ever!"

Whipcord Wool Shirt ROCKS!,March 31, 2008
By OFADANfrom Pacific North Wet
"I bought one two years ago to be worn hunting and for a wilderness survivial course I was attending in the high Cascades - cold and snowy conditions. The shirt is amazingly comfortable and functional. I wear it with lightweight Under Armorer or a Smart Wool under shirt in both long and short sleeve. With short sleeve it doesn't itch at all. The collar is lined so it doesn't chaff my neck even when carrying a pack. I just ordered another one this week in a different color. For cold weather there isn't anything much better!"

Whip Wool Shirt,February 8, 2008
By GAVBfrom Davenport, WA.
"I am very pleased with the fit and apperance of this shirt. I have had numerous comments on how nice the shirt looks and where it can be purchased. On those cold days it keeps me warm and when I go into a heated room I am still very comfortable wearing it. I have laundered this shirt four times it still looks like new has kept its shape and did not shrink. I like not having to send it out to be dry cleaned. Great shirt, treat yourself to one."

A Cold Weather Delight,January 30, 2008
By MarkA70from Midland, TX
"I used this shirt in Kansas Pheasant hunting. I had the Under Armor cold weather top on under it. Worn in 10-20 Deg F weather did not need a coat with this combo and the Cabela's Legacy Wool bibs. This shirt is like steel and does not itch. What else can ya say?"

Superwash Wool,January 14, 2008
By moose31from Rockwood, ME
"Great shirt, even blocks wind better than normal wool shirts. My only complaint is when it gets damp it really sticks, as in smell."
