also has a supple texture that makes it a perfect choice for everyday wear. Two front slash pockets and
two rear welted pockets with button closures. Imported.

wool wins,June 16, 2009
By Boots4from Tn & SC
"I like a lot of the fleece garments but wool is the winner when it comes to overall performance under tough conditions. The whipcord pants stand up to the elements and are well made. They come w/ a long stride, I would prefer a shorter stride w/ a fit more like jeans but I realize that is a personal choice. Good product and a great value."

Great all around pants,June 15, 2009
By Pronghornfrom Oregon
"This is my third or fourth pair of these pants, and I always have them with me on every hunting trip. Oregon deer, elk, turkey and upland bird hunting; Idaho elk; and Alaska sheep and caribou along with just trips to spend time outdoors. If it's really cold, I wear long johns under them, but they don't itch so I can wear them alone if the weather is mild. They hold up really well and are very quiet in the brush. My only negative is that the seams don't hold up as well as they might under heavy use. I usually end up having to re-stich various seams at some point well before the wool whipcord material wears out. Wouldn't go on a hunting trip without these pants, and they are often the only hunting pants I take on pack trips."

Favorite pants,March 23, 2009
By MJwoolfrom Upstate NY
"Two years ago I bought a pair and they worked out so well I gradually added four more pair. These pants are durable, great fitting, comfortable and have all the great qualities of wool. For outside work, hiking, XC skiing, and snoeshoeing they are the best. I've found the charcoal versions so nice looking that I even wear them to work with a shirt and tie. These are truely the cool-cold weather do-it-all pants. To bad it looks like they are out of stock on the charcoal version."

Not for hunting,February 23, 2009
By dickvfrom Washington
"I ordered these pants on the internet and returned them to the Cabela's store in Lacey, WA.
They were on the light-weight side (18 oz) for hunting in cold weather and were cut very full. I exchanged them for the 24 oz weight dry plus pants with the side pockets. The new pants are quite warm and fit much better."

Whipcord Pants,December 23, 2008
By Wildspiritfrom Colorado Mountains
"I love them. I tend to be a bit warmblooded, so staying warm isn't too hard for me down to about zero. That said, I find these pants aren't scratchy, block the wind, dry quickly and are warm with long johns down to zero with only minor exercise. I like them for elk hunting, during which the smooth texture is really comfortable in the saddle. Not only do I recommend them for friends, I've bought them as presents for my hunting buddies....and the shirt as well."

"Great pants. I sweat a lot (hyperhidrosis) and wool works best for me in transferring and evaporating the moisture while still keeping me warm. Perfect fit with the included hemming."

By bigskeeterfrom PA
"Great pants. Look sharp, fit well (but are cut extremely small, order 2 sizes larger), not too warm in moderate weather but great in cool to cold weather. Breath but cut the wind.
They are so great, I bough the heavier wt trouser from the same manufacturer"

Super Wash Wool Pants,November 16, 2008
By PFS1959from Northern MN
"I have used the Super Wash Wool Pants since 2007 and while I have no complaints about the fabric, I have major complaints about the sewing. I can understand 1 or 2 button failures not everyone (except back pocket). Very poor quality sewing on buttons. If you decide to buy the pants, order some clamp on suspenders, YOU WILL NEED THEM."

By timberdoodle12from Ohio
"I have had several of these pants before. The new ones seem to be lighter weight, which is distressing since I bought them for warmth. They really are washable, but do not dry them in a dryer or they will shrink."

whipcord wool pants,March 14, 2008
By hikerjohn
"I had been very happy with previous purchases of this line of pants. They had been very well made and wore like iron. However, my most recent purchase has been a big disappointment. The left side seam above and below the pocket was badly sewn and the seam started pulling apart almost immediately."

Excellent pants, don't get all the "bad" writeups,January 14, 2008
By Lenticularusfrom Apex, NC
"Bought a pair of these pants earlier in the fall and so far, I really like them. They are much more useful that than the super heavyweight wool pants I bought last year. Nice medium weight that is quite windproof and can be layered without too much bulk. Warm but still confortable to about 60F. I am a large guy (6'1", 300lbs) and find the largest size (48) to be a SHADE tight, but not really a problem. They are NOT baggy in the seat like so many other pants, but there is enough room to be confortable while moving around in the woods. I really enjoy that about the construction. They seem VERY quiet to me and great for general use."

best investment I've made in a long time,January 7, 2008
By tcolemfrom Maine
"These pants are great for fall or early winter work in the woods, esp on wet, rainy days. I've also worn them in temps down to 10 below with just a light pair of long underwear, and they are very warm, and very comfortable
