"used three times already, the locking system worked great, was able to start skinning and raise the deer to the desired height and it made the job easier to just pull on the rope disengage the brake pull up or let lower. this thing worked great, yes get one you will be happy."

"I have used this for the first time this year and I see no problems with it's use. I had no problem lifting the Elk nor the Mule Deer I shot this year. I thought this device worls very well sd it was easer to gut and skin the animals. I would say to anyone that is a very good buy"

"The hoist is a marvel, I have pulled up muleys with one hand--
And the locking system holds fine--a note of caution--DON'T LET IT GET TANGLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The line comes off the wheels pretty easy if you are not careful with how you store it.
Sorting it out in the glow of a flashlight after a long days hunt would make a patient man cuss. Tie it, or wrap it so that it NEVER gets tangled up in your backpack.
A great buy."

"Does anyone know if you could change out the rope on this?
Just curious before I buy it. I'd like a stronger, longer rope. I shoot 250# deer and I'd like to use this to hang the deer, alone, in the woods overnight so wolves can't get to it."

"This thing is awesome and you can't beat the price. If you hunt deer, antelope, or anything else similar in size/weight, there is no reason not to buy it. The only disadvantage is the pulley system is cheaply made so I suspect over time they could wear out but the price more than makes up for it. Also, the rope provided limits the height you could hang it to approximately 10' but it wouldn't be difficult to replace or add on a longer rope. If you need a hoist, buy this one. Trust me, it is worth the cost."

"Like the product wish the rope was a little bigger, sometimes it gets slick when you are pulling on it. Bought three more for my hunting partners they love them too. Great to be able to hoist your deer up and not have to wait for the rest of the gang to get back to camp."
