"These are good looking casual shoes for light walking. Poor choice for fitness walking. The leather uppers are cut too low in the back with no heel/achilles cradle support. The stitching across the back of the heel acts as a saw blade cutting into your skin. I wouldn't recommend these shoes to any serious walker, unless you want painful blisters."

"I have been ordering and wearing the New Balance 810 and lately the 811 model for about 10 years. I need a size 13 and have a narrow foot. The 810 and 811 does the trick. I have ordered all of them online as you always have my narrow requirement. I haven't bought any other casual shoe. I keep the old ones for fishing and outdoor work. I have 4 pairs of old shoes now, at home and at the late. Sometimes my old ones have come in handy for a visitor at the lake. Spice"

"I have always bought New Balance shoes. They hold up really well. What I liked about these shoes was that they are American made. The fit and wear ability is great. Now more than ever I think it is important to buy American. Living in Wyoming I look for quaility first and foremost. I have bought a dozen or more pair and will keep going to New Balance. Cabela's makes it easy to buy American too. You can search there online store with the American made as a search choice. Unfortunetly not all New Balance shoes are American made, so be an informed buyer when shopping."

"I tried this shoe for something different. Very nice looking and it feels great. A little low cut aroound the ankles but I can get used to it. No need to break it in straight out of the box as it is very soft not stiff like a normal gym shoe."

"I was incredibly impressed with these shoes. Ya know you think you have a pair of comfortable shoes.....until I got these. It really was a night and day difference compared to regular ol' tennis shoes. These shoes conform to my feet so well and they required no break-in before they were comfy either. A++++ Highly recommended. Just be sure to order the appropriate shoe width....another feature that allows these shoes to fit so well.

"I purchased my NB 811 Walker shoes about 2 months ago based on the recommendation of a friend and I'm very glad I did.
