Shotshell Fun,October 21, 2009
By MrRickfrom NC
"I love these shells! they pattern very well at about 10 yards and have enough punch to mess up a couple of tin cans!! I though they were a little pricey for what many have stated to be a novelty but its a fun little change!"

Gamo shot shells,August 6, 2007
By Rattlerfrom Milford Ohio
"I purchased 5 boxes when I bought my Gamo shotgun. I fired between 50 and 60 rounds and could not down a starling at 8 to 10 yards. I found the first two boxes had only 15 shot in the shell. I am getting a little better results now on the 4th box. I have been hand loading these shells and doing better than the factory loads. The last box did have 20 shot in the shell so is doing better. I have not fired any of the last two boxes yet. Howard"

very effective,May 14, 2007
By abcd432from Beckley, WV
"I recently purchased the Viper Express air shotgun. The shells work extremely well within their range. I think that the payload is not big enough and outside of 15 yards the shells will not kill the target unless you hit it in the head. I have killed 3 birds with them, and my brother has killed a bird and a chipmunk."

Gamo Shotshells - Factory and Reload,February 21, 2007
By Vicarfrom From the North Coast of Ohio!
"I've shot some of the Gamo Shotshells from my new Viper Express Air Shotgun. I estimate approx. 20 #9 shot per round. I've been experimenting with reloading the spent, flanged shotshell tubes, and am only beginning to learn what works best.
I did find that a .25" hole punch obtained from a fabric/hobby store made just the right size base wad for the reloads. I punched out both 2 mm and 3 mm hobby foam, and found the 2 mm made the better base wad to replace Gamo's plastic base cup. I suspect that the 3 mm was too thick and resulted in too much friction.
I put 20 #9 shot in the tube from the front end after inserting the base wad in the breech end. I then punched out a .25" piece of paper tag stock for a front wad and gently pressed it down on the shot with a short, thin plastic rod.
The resulting reload produced a tighter pattern than the Gamo round with the plastic base cup and the plastic three-point star front wad!
I'm experimenting with different combinations of base wads, amounts of shot, and front wad (though the paper seems the best in all trials). A friend, who is an avid skeet shooter, also suggested trying some #8 shot. We'll see.
The main thing is, one can reload the shotshell tubes. One needs the .25/1/4" hole punch to make this work. A standard paper punch is too big and won't do."
