"These are the best lightweight pants for winter.
Wear inside on cold evenings, outside under windproof layer for staying warm and toasty.
I wear 30" length jeans and I bought the 30 length fleece pants but these are at least 2" longer than I really wanted."

"I’m a function before form guy, and can attest that, nonetheless, these pants fit both parameters. My wife and I have worn our Cabela’s Polartec 200 pants for the last five years. These pants are light as a feather; wear like iron; are not bulky; and most importantly, are amazingly warm. Our first tried and true pairs are still fine, but I ordered four more new pairs anyway, and they are great – the only difference is the finish on the new ones is smoother than our older ones after countless wearings and washings. When the temperatures get seriously cold, and we’re going to be outside for extended periods of time, we each wear two pair – one on top of the other. If you haven’t tried this, you’re missing out on a sub-zero secret of layering with what we consider one of the best products you can buy. I’m rating these pants a five on a five scale. But truth to be told, they are a ten on a five scale. The best!"

"I went to Alaska in early September two years ago to fly fish and was unpleasantly surprised at how cold I became after wading all day in mid-40 degree water. I vowed that if I ever did a trip like that again, I was going to get some fleece pants as an underlayer to my waders. Well, I just got back from another week-long trip to Alaska during the same time of year and wore these pants every day and never got cold once!!! We waded a lot more than my previous trip and these fleece pants performed flawlessly and even fit comfortably under my waders. Great buy!!!"

"Perfect for me. I work in a building that is warm year round so I wear shorts. This past week when I leave to go home in the mornings (I work 3rd shift) temp has been in low teens. These slide over my steel toe boots with ease and zipper legs and elatic waist work great."

"The polartec 200 pants make cold weather hunting enjoyable. I layered and was able to concentrate on hunting in single digit cold and double digit winds. The strong point is the absence of bulkiness. If You sre serious about late winter bow hunting or hunt in northern climates give these pants a try."

"Great pants which are immediately warm and comfortable. The only liability is the lack of inseam selection. The regular (medium) is way too long for my inseam (30"). I have to roll up the bottom, which is over two inches too long. I'll pay to get them right."
