"Actually bought the jeans for motorcycle riding in cool and/or wet weather. I haven't had the opportunity to use them for that yet but I did wear them on a couple boat trips to the duck and deer camps in hard rain this fall. They kept me warm and dry without that clammy feeling you get from most waterproof clothing. The fit is loose and comfortable and would easily accomodate long underwear in colder weather. I think they'll work great on the bike too. Can't wait to test them."

"I wore a pair of these jeans last week during a deer hunt in Colorado and was most disappointed. The temperature was 20 degrees and after 10 minutes of walking I was soaking wet from perspiration. They did not breath at all. After 2 days I switched to a pair of Cabelas lined jeans and was dry and wam all day."

"I bought these pants with trepidation but I was pleasantly suprised! I broke them in last night in 42 degree, steady, Northeast rain... 90 miles in the cold rain... on the bike... PERFECTLY DRY AT THE END OF THE TRIP!!!!! If there is a negative side to these pants it would be that they run a little large for the stated size but its just a little. They were cumbersome kickstarting the bike but other than that, it wasn't bad. These are in the top three best-buys for riding year-round in the Northeast."

"These jeans are sized like any other jeans. I bought them big enough for long johns underneath. I used them for snow blowing and will use them for hunting in wet conditions. The lining adds warmth to the jeans even without long johns, the dry-plus membrane kept me dry while clearing the snow. I will buy them again."

"I got 2 pairs of these jeans for Christmas from my parents and I've been pretty much alternating between them for the last 2 months, they're that good. Riding my motorcycle in freezing weather for short periods of time is nothing, and a pair of long johns underneath makes longer trips doable. I've ridden in pretty heavy rain and while the denim was soaked, my legs stayed dry.
They're a bit warm to wear inside, but that's to be expected. They can feel a bit sweaty indoors as well, but I've never noticed it outside.
My only gripe is that they're cut really wide at the bottom. Not bellbottoms, but to the point that I can slip the pants on over my boots. I suppose that's useful to some, but I'd rather have a tighter cut and put them on normally."

"If you like to wear a non-breathable raincoat on a hot humid day you will like these! I have owned and loved the same roughneck jeans made with Gore-tex for many years and wear them everyday in the winter for everything from hunting, cross-country skiing, to ice fishing in temps down to -25F. They are 10 more breathable than these things.....there is no substitution for Gore-tex! Unfortunately Cabelela's no longer sells them and I do not think anyone else makes them that's why I thought I would try these....the price was right and they do block the wind and by the feeling I am sure they are waterproof because they let absolutely no water out. I have only worn these a couple of times and will change my review if washing them a few times helps. Past experience with other Gore-tex substitutes leads me to believe they just don't breath as well. Cabela's please bring the Gore-tex ones back.....I will not be nearly as comfortable in these Minnesota winters!"

"I purchased these jeans to wear under my chaps while motorcycle riding this fall. I wanted both the insulation and the waterproof lining. As far as those two criteria, the jeans have done well. I can't wear them inside if I will not be sitting down or else I will start to sweat. They are nice and warm and that is what I wanted. I did have to send the first pair back as the zipper blew out on them. As always, Cabela's exchanged them without any fuss. It is only for the zipper, that I give these 4 stars and not 5."

"I bought these pants for my son they fit him remarkably well. I ordered stone wash Black however they came in Blue. His work requires “Black” but with the current temperatures of High -7 and blustery winds they do keep the wind off of you. Their somewhat lightweight without restriction! through deep snow or walking during hunting/ice fishing."

"I have had these for the last year. They are the warmest pants I have ever owned, you do not want to wear these inside, your legs will sweat and they do not wick away moisture. I can wear these all day hunting. They stop the wind, rain and cold from reaching your skin!!!"
