"Before purchasing this hood, I had looked at several other stores for a balaclava to wear while running. I was pleased with the reasonable price of this product.
The fit is great. Form-fitting, but not uncomfortably tight. If I need to, I can easily layer a stocking cap over the top of this hood. I like that the material is not bulky which makes the hood easy to put in a coat pocket or small bag.
My favorite feature is that I can control the warmth level by pulling the hood up over my nose or move it completely under my chin."

"Excellent fit for my big ol' head. I was very afraid that this wouldn't fit and I would have cold ears again this season. I wear a size 7 3/4+ hat and this fits perfect. With it's stretchiness, my kids can also wear it and it fits them well too. Underarmour makes some good stuff. I highly recommend it. My kids 8, 4, and 3 years old recommend it too."

"Just got back from a week long float trip in SW Montana. We got caught in a blizzard on the Big Hole River. This head gear fit great and did a fantastic job of keeping the North wind at bay while floating 4-6 hours per day. Highly recommend this and suggest it be a part of anyone's outdoor gear selection."

"It is wonderful..my Grandson is a cross country runner and wears Under Armour, shorts , socks,pants etc...requested the hood for his birthday and says it is so great Maama....would highly recommend it..well worth the price. "I am very happy with the hood and the three ways that it can be worn. It definitely blocks the wind well and wicks the moisture away. Amazingly the care label states "hand wash" and "line dry" which I associate with girls clothes. The long term quality of this hood is at stake here. UA should step up and understand that men simply wash and dry everything."

"Guys,
I love this product! I used this with goggles and glasses and my face didn't fog up while down hill skiing at Big Sky, Montana.
I've also used it snowblowing in North Dakota and it is great!
If temperatures really dipped you might throw a stocking cap over it too, but if you are active you'll generate your own heat (and moisture) and this wicks the water away and that is perhaps the beauty of it.
When you are active and it is cold, shedding mositure is as important as having lots of insulation. It breathes well. Not just the fabric, but your own breath comes away great w/o moisture build-up.
If there is a negative to it, it does smoosh your hair like putting a beany on does. But hey, that is the fashion now days. You couldn't even get a good hair-do for what this costs! And with this product you get both for $20 bucks!
I would give this to guy friends for birthday or Christmas presents!
Gifts to girls? I wonder how many women would wear one of these? It's like having a nylon over your head. It's the smoosh thing....

"I LOVE THESE. My face breaks out with the other velour face hoods-- and the other fuzzy ones too. With these coldgear hoods my face does not break out! They really keep in the heat too. I really enjoy the ability to lower or raise the face section. I do put the top of the face section just below my nose (over my mouth) when I am wearing sunglasses. My husband does this too because of his glasses. I you don't, your glasses will fog a little. This is the only drawback but anything you wear over the nose will fog the glasses unless there is something to pinch on the nose like the doctors wear on their surgery mask."
