Warm Coat/Bad Zippers,September 25, 2009
By MissTam
"The nylon zippers for this coat destroy it. Both my outside pockets are coming unsewn on the lowest point, and they are hard to zip up. The zip off fur piece: its fabric is all chewed where it is supposed to cover the zipper head & tongue due to it rubbing on itself. Don't get me started on the two way zipper... Is a monster to get started! The fabric inhibits the feed from the side you are supposed to shove into the zipper head. It never lines up right to zip without a great deal of effort. However, once I am zipped in and strings pulled tight, I feel warm and toasty! No winter blizzard could make me shiver. I wish the embroydering was BOTH sleeves... Other than the zipper choice for this coat it is perfect. Beautiful, warm, and resistant to water stains."

"Fairly nice jacket - but why are the sleeves so short???? I ordered a medium instead of my usual small just to have longer sleeves but still too short. Love the tan colour and the jacket is warm."

Vail Parka,March 11, 2009
By potrzebiefrom Manila, UT
"I bought this parka for my wife on our anniversary. It is very warm, she says, even in our cold and windy climate. Yesterday, while we were dining out, we noticed that it was embroderied only on one sleeve. Doesn't hurt the utility, but looks kind of weird. Check this item out thoroughly before you wear it!!"

passed the test,March 11, 2009
By aussietouristfrom East Maitland, NSW, Australia
"I bought this parka online after having no success finding anything in Australia suitable for a Christmas in Quebec (2008). I bought the 2xl and had no problem with sleeve length. I am slightly shorter than average in that department. I was very happy with delivery and quality of product when it arrived. We do not get snow (glorious snow) where I live, so needed something really toasty to keep me comfortable. I wore this parka every single day of our 8 day holiday and it was so comfy. It had a lovely feel and did not look cheap. Loved it."

flimsy zipper,March 9, 2009
By Micro1from Philadelphia, PA
"The parka is warm and comfy, but is not particularly elegant and has a flimsy zipper, which is not covered by a snap button closure. The trim on the hood is made of small pieces of the coyote fur and looks much worse than in the catalog."

Great Value - Great Looking,February 27, 2009
By HKHSKIfrom Mansfield, OH
"Other reviews prompted me to order 1 sz up and I'm glad I did. The sleeves are short. However, the parka is extremely warm and looks great. The embroidery details & real fur trim had someone convinced that I was wearing an expensive parka available only in high end ski shops."

"This by far is the best coat I have ever purchased. We have had a bitter winter including the windchills. It has definatly done the job. ....just don't wear it into the mall to go shopping, you'll pass out from the heat that it holds!"

Super Cozy,February 23, 2009
By Wowza3000from Michigan/U.P.
"I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and this winter has been extremely cold. Back in October I bought two new coats but they did not keep me warm in our below freezing weather. I broke down and searched online for a great looking coat that would be toasty warm. I found this coat and not only is it warm, it is so sophisticated looking. I have gotten many compliments from every age group."

Warm at last,February 17, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Englewood, New Jersey
"I ordered this jacket because none of my winter coats or jackets were warm enough for the weather we had in January. Since the jacket came, I am warm at last. It also fit perfectly and appears well made. I love the feel and the color of it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be warm."

By Patti608pdfrom Brooklyn, NY
"I love the jacket and it is so warm, especially since this WINTER is frigid. I also have a long Cabela down jacket which I purchased two years ago. Great quality, durable and really nice colors for women. My husband also loves all the clothes in Cabela's especially the hunting clothes."

not so stylish but definitely warm,February 16, 2009
By foxfire74from New Yori, NY
"This is a warm jacket. I was on the fence with this jacket because I didn't really find it that flattering in style. I didn't like the hood, found it kind of snug, crushed my hair and hated the fur trimming. However, it is very warm, especially on a windy day. I do like the jacket better after I removed the hood, somehow it looked slimmer or less bulky. I did have a little problem with the two way zipper but the more I used it, the easier it got. This jacket is true to size, a little roomier so it fits well over a heavy sweater or fleece jacket. I am 5'3", 140 lb and I got the medium, perfect fit."

Warm but not what I expected,February 11, 2009
By PancakeGuru
"The outer shell on this coat has sort of a suede-like texture. Not what I expected (I thought it was going to be smooth). It seemed like it would get dirty easily. Also, the coyote ruff was very fuzzy and warm but the ruff on the particular one I got was a little lop-sided and didn't seem to lay right. Then I felt bad about having coyote on it at all considering that I felt I would rather see a coyote alive than dead on a coat. Thanks anyway Cabela's. Still love your stuff and am a dedicated fan."

Women's Vail Pass Parka,February 10, 2009
By csgrovefrom Michigan
"I love the coat. In fact, I ordered another one for my daughter. The zipper was hard to start at first, but if you line up both zippers, there is no problem. It's lightweight and extremely warm. The sleeves were plenty long enough. I would highly reccomend this."

Parka,February 9, 2009
By accountinggirlfrom Troy, Ohio
"I needed a warm coat with a hood. After searching endless stores, I decided to go on line and see what I could find. This is the best coat for the money. Only problem I was afraid the Arctic White would get too dirty. After reading the reviews and 2 people wrote that the color was not actually white but a stone color, I went ahead and ordered it. I am not disappointed. The color is not white, but stone. Does not show dirt. Very happy with coat and I would highly recommend. The weather was 28 below 3 weeks ago and I did not get cold."
