Gore-Tex Mittens,February 3, 2009
By WaterUtilityWorkerfrom Buffalo, NY
"Working outside in Buffalo, NY can prove interesting in the winter. I am in my 14th year outside and have not been able to keep my hands warm and dry until I purchased Cabela's Gore-Tex Mittens. An excellent combination of Thinsulate and Gore-Tex to block out wind, wet and cold."

MITTENS,February 24, 2009
By KB89from MONTGOMERY, AL.
"I purchased these mittens to take on a ski trip. After three days of skiing a seam busted loose on the thumb which I have had to repair. In addition, my hands got extremely cold which makes me question the depth of insulation. I would not advise anyone to purchase these mittens."

Gore-Tex Mittens,February 9, 2009
By ZOG09
"Incredible warmth. If you're working outside in harsh cold, these mittens are almost too warm. Cross country skiing, much too warm. If you like winter hiking and enjoy feeling your fingertips after several hours, buy these mittens."

Cabelas GORE-TEX Thinsulate mittens,February 3, 2009
By YetAnotherNamefrom NY
"The mittens have been great for winter driving, as my car heats up slowly. I saw some recommendations about ordering one size larger; in fact, the gloves came in a little too loose, but it turned out just right for the two times that I needed to double up gloves.
The only disappointment was that within the first month, about an inch of the seams came apart on the outside edge. The seams was not sewed together by "doubling up" the fabric, so originally, one side must have hung by the threading. I decided to double up the fabric and do a hidden stitch myself, not only because it was quicker, but also because I was afraid that another pair might have a similar defect."

Warm but weak,December 30, 2008
By Roarkefrom Klamath Falls, OR
"Gloves were warm, but one weekend of use on a tractor shifting gears while plowing snow wore the tip of the thumb seam out.
Wish they lasted a little longer before needing repair."

The Best Mittens I Ever Purchased,December 30, 2008
By Sahara103from Northwest Iowa
"By far, the best mittens I've ever had. Wind proof, water proof, warm, with leather palms to stop things from slipping through my hands. Adjustable elastic wrist bands keep out snow and water. Incredibly warm. A size for everyone."

Cabela's GORE-TEX® Thinsulate™ Mittens,March 10, 2008
By o00ofrom New Zealand
"Nice gloves, 2nd pair I've had. The first have done over 120 days of skiing (alpine) and are comming apart at the right thumb. They are waterproof and good for -10C, under that I use a inner glove as well. The latest model is more stylish, just as well made, and I hope will provide similar service."

"This winter has been awful in Wisconsin. Cold, rain, sleet and often all at once... those were the pleasant days! Got REAL tired of soaked, frozen, wind affected hands. Got these mitts and now, bring on the rain, sleet, snow and WIND! Only dislike is the tightness around wrist area."

Gore-Tex mittens,February 20, 2008
By Kitchenguyfrom Byron Center, MI.
"These are very light duty mittens, although they are waterproof, they are not warm. They are good for quick outdoor activities, but don't expect them to keep your hands warm for long"
