"Overall the bibs are very warm and comfortable...

Drawbacks:

Thereare are no cargo type pockets.
Kinda tough to put on if you need to slip them over hunting boots."

depressed, wet and holey, September 22, 2008

"I resently purchased this bib because is was a great brand and had the 2 items needed in the mountains working elk over, (Gore-tex and scent lock). It was day 1 at 5:15am when I entered the woods, at 6:00am I had 2 holes below the knee on the left leg and one hole on the back right leg. I was working the quakies (Aspens) along the dark timber lines, it was not like I was moving through tons of fallen dark timber climbing over fallen trees 4 feet thick. I had reasonable expectations for the performance of this gear and as well as respect for the gear as this was a lot of money to spend. I was crushed when a limb ripped open the left leg hole. It continued to rip and I tried to use some camo tape to make a field repair but wet tape is as bad as holey gear. It contuned to rain for the next 4 days. Water drained into my boots from the top and soaked my feet. Needless to say cold wet feet make for a bad 4 days in the back country.
I hope someone from Cabela's really reads this!!
I did get the matching 3-1 parka and it worked great plenty of storage and quick access to pockets."

"that was the best money I ever spent the week after I got those bibs and jaket I went up state pa. deer hunting opening day it rain from when I got in my stand in the morning until I came out at night and Inever got wet thanks Ed Cross"

All day comfort in the woods, January 7, 2008

"This is actually my second pair of these bib's. For some reason the first pair shrunk a little bit every year. I don't think all of the good camp food had anything to do with it. The first set looks like the day I opened the package it arrived in with no sign of wear. after several years of service they are easy to clean up after I crawl around in the swamp. I stay warm and comfortable when the temperature drops and the rain or snow kick-up. When the weather warms up I open the zippers to allow for more ventilation or I can easily take them off without removing my boots and put them in my backpack."

"This is an excellent product, gore-tex is the only product that WILL KEEP THE RAIN OUT! Those other so called waterproof products will work for a day but then the water goes through. Buy gore-tex only"

Warm but not durable, January 22, 2007

"The bibs will keep you warm and dry, but if you hunt where there alot of briars, thorns or other thick vegetation they will not hold up well at all. I used mine during this past hunting season and they did not hold up well with the type of hunting (i.e. walking and putting on drives) that I do. Little holes and snags all over the place. I would expect them to be more durable considering the amount of money I paid or at least give some type of warning that they should be used for sitting only. Very unhappy with the durability."

"First off, the Scent-Lok works great. However, that is tempered by the nosiness of the outer fabric and it's lack of durability. I had my new set (parka and bibs) less than a week before I noticed the first holes, small tears that appear to have been caused by some prickers I walked through. There are now holes all over both legs on the fronts and backs. My bibs resemble Swiss cheese!
I would think for a fabric so noisy, it would be as tough as rhino skin. Or, put a warning label on the product to protect it from "real world" use."

"The bibs are very warm and comfortable, which makes it easy to sit all day in cold weather and not get cold. First time in my 20 years of hunting I haven't been cold. Also scent lok helps with the deer, they where much more relaxed even though it was gun season."

"These bibs are GREAT they keep you warm and dry and are very quiet to move around in. They also keep your scent from alerting Deer that you are there. While hunting in Michigan I had Deer come to within 5-yards of me and I hunt on the ground. So YES They work."

"I was leary about ordering these with having the chance to see them first, but I got to tell you, I couldn't be happier. Spent opening week in 35 degree weather and never got cold. Walked through the swamp and never got wet. Although the fabric doesn't seem to be designed for silence, I was happy at just how quiet they are. I'll be using them for bowhunting as well.
Easy to put on and take off, and they have ample pocket space. Great deal for the money!"
