"A great pair boots, very comfortable and durable. After working 12 hours on my feet these boots were still comfortable and allowed my feet to breathe well. I have put these boots through the ringer getting them wet, dirty, spilling chemicals on them, dropping things on them, scuffing them up and they still work great. Best pair of boots I have ever had."

Needs Better Laceing Eyelets,February 6, 2009

"I am on my second pair of these boots. The only problem I have encountered is the fact that the eyelets cut the laces. I have taken my older pair to a quality shoe repair and had the eyelets replaced which fixed the problem. QUALITY EYELETS would make the boots 5 star in my book."

"This boot, while well constructed and cosmetically appealing, was unwearable. The way the sides of the tongue were sewn to the insides of the boot created a lump when worn and rubbed my shins and was very uncomfortable. I sent them back after trying them on and walking around the house for 10 minutes."

"I like the the boots very much. There was some initial break-in required. Also these boots seem to run maybe a 1/2 size smaller than other boots I have purchased from Cabelas. "I tried these boots out and found them to be very uncomfortable for me.where the steel toes begin rubs on the top of my toes and left blisters.I ended up taking the insoles out and this gave the top of my toes a little more room so they dont rub as bad but I have had them for almost a month hoping they would break in for me(I still wore them hoping they would break in for me in stead of sending them back)and they still have not.At this point I am wearing band aids on a couple of my toes to keep them from rubbing on the tops.I wish i would have sent these back and just got a different brand.i do not think its my foot because I have worn about 5 different brands of boots in my life and i have never had the problems with boots like I have had with these last 2 pairs I tried."

"The steel-toe Roughneck S.A.W. work boot is a very duriable boot that has exceptional comfort for the man that is on his feet all day. The only thing that is a small problem, but you get used to is the weight. They are a little heavy, but I have got used to the weight of the boot and as I have wore them. There was no break in time, the boot felt good the first time I put them on. This is a great boot at a great price."

"Boot is relatively light weight; good wiggle room for toes under steel toe cap; steel toe works and prevented a brick falling off truck tailgate from crushing toes; boot not as cushiony as advertised or anticipated; supplemented cushion with Sorbo insert; When lacing the boot up the material above the ankle leather surround is very firm and provides significant support but will take a while to break in and make the leather supple before ther are completely comfortable and molded to my foot and above ankle area; Tread/traction is excellent. Good value for price."

"After waiting for these boots on back order I couldn't wait to wear them.But, I was very disappointed after wearing them. They weren't that bad after the first 3-4 hrs, but that's all. The top of my toes were red and sore after 8hrs. I tried them for a week and it was the same everyday. I work in road construction and with 12-15 hr days coming, I wouldn't be able to take wearing them all day. They are a good quality boot, but not for all day comfort"

"I bought these boots for work (safety toe), under the assumption that these boots would fit like the other "Cabela's" boots I've purchased. I bought the same size, and the S.A.W. boots fit totally different. The steel toes rub on the top of my toes, so I removed the foot liners to try to get more room. It wasn't enough. I stopped wearing the boots, because they are very uncomfortable. The upside, the boots are made very well. They have a very sturdy construction, and the soles are very good. Try ing these boots on the carpet, really didn't give me a true fit. After wearing them all day, I found them to very uncomfortable."

"The "Cabela's Steel-Toe Roughneck S.A.W. Work Boots" have been the answer to an old man's prayers!
All my life I have worked out in every kind of weather in the mud and mess of drilling sites, on all types of terrain, and in conditions that most state employement laws consider "Undesirable Work Conditions". The first thing affected in this environment are your feet, so good work boots have always been an important consideration for people working around drill rigs.
To add to the typical needs for good footwear in this arena, I am an old guy that is a little larger than most, and I have diabetes, so my work boots get a "better than average workout", and are important to my health, as well as my comfort.
The Roughneck S.A.W. Work Boots from Cabelas have given me the comfort and shock absorbtion that I need with their padded inner soles. This cushioning system in the sole has been a great help in preventing pain in my feet and knees after a long day of work. The quality of the leather and steel toe construction has already proven its value in protecting my feet around the drillsites."
