"My dog is easily distracted so i bought this collar. i used it lightly only a few times when he got off course and now(about 2 weeks later) all I have to do is give him the beeper and he comes right too me. I would recommend this product.
note: needs to be charged for one day before use."

"My dog spent a week with a trainer where he grew acustom to a collar. When I got him back, he immediately went back to his old ways. After I received the collar it took but a week for him to retrain general commands from a distance. I no longer need the collar for around the house. This device works well at long distances at least a 1/4 mile."

"Best field collar I have used , and I haved used a few". Used it on my 2 year old lab on the Dove opener,one tick is all it took...Now it only takes a tone to get her attention.In and out of the cold Colorado River water,and hot 115 degree temps in the grain fields...WORKED FLAULESSLY !!! Duck opener coming soon,She will have it on her then too..."

"This is an excellent product. I have always been hesitant to use a device like this on a dog, but we were having a problem with our 8 month old Cheasapeke. We live out in the open country with a few barbwire fences to contain the neighbors horses. They are easy to get through for a dog and she quit responding to my calling her back. Now I can use the beep function for most occaisions and once in awhile I have to use the shock feature to stop her from getting into trouble. I no longer need to grab her leash and try to catch up to my dog to bring her home. She happily comes running back to me and recieves a treat for returning. This is proving to be an invaluable product as part of our training for the upcomming hunting season. Thankyou!!!"

"I really like the colar. The only thing that is don't like is that the prongs on the colar are a bit short for my lab. I have to have the colar really tight for it to make contact, so sometimes it works and sometime it dosen't. Other then that it's great in or out of the water."

"After buying and cheeper electronic system from a pet store, I returned it in two days. The field trainer *SportDog Brand* SD-800 was worth every penny spent. The training was done in one day with my dog and she has not been on a leash for weeks. She now goes outside and can stay in the back yard with the deer grazing close by and not chase them. Very rearly do I have to use the shock, She comes to the tone first. The range is perfect, so I could still see her and she gets all the exercise she needs now. Very pleased with its performance in the cold temps as well as the rain. It holds the charge for two weeks. I can not say enough about this product. No more pet store products for me!"

"The battery in the receiver only holds a charge for a couple of hours. Sprotdog sent me a new battery, but it didn't hold a charge any better. The prongs are to short for my lab, so the collar has to pulled to tight. I was very unhappy with this product and would reccomend a differnt brand for anyone with a lab that wants to hunt for more than a couple hours at a time."

Poor quality for the money,

"This is my second set. The first one I had to return to the factory because the transmitter would only work within three feet of the collar. The new set only holds a charge for about four hours which doesn't cut it if you are going to hunt all day. The prongs on the collar are almost too short for my lab and it did not come with a longer set. I have to keep the collar extremely tight to make contact with his skin. I am out of Cabelas return time period and cannot return this product. I would recommend a different product and make sure you like it as soon as you get it or return it so you don't have any issues."

"Had to send unit back, reciever would not take a charge. The prongs on this unit are too short to keep contact with my lab's skin. It has to be VERY tight to keep contact. The prongs are notably shorter than my buddies cheaper unit and his came with multiple lengths of prongs. Waste of money unless you have a short haired dog."

"This is a great e-collar. very user friendly. I use it for waterfowl and upland hunting on my lab. My favorite feature is the side "beep" button. i use that more than the shock button, it just reminds the dog he better listen otherwise he knows what could happen next.... highly recommend!!!!"

"I really like this e collar. It is small and light weight. The adjustable stimulation is excellent and alows for getting just the right response without overdoing it. The training CD is excellent and I would recommend that everyone check it out before using this tool. I work with English Springers and this is a must have tool for their training."

"Good product, having a little trouble making the collar tight enough so there is always a good connection. Sometimes think the collar is too tight for my dog, but it needs to be tight so the probes maintain a connection on the skin. Think the longer probes would help this, but this specific model did not come w/ the longer probes. I feel paying $200+ for this equipment, it should include the longer probe set."
