Nikon Realtree Binoculars,
October 14, 2009

"Great binoculars for the price. Easy to grip and hold on too, I like the camo pattern. Used them for the past two deer seasons. Was able to see great detail looking up on high ridges that look like specs to the naked eye but I can clearly see deer moving with these! Used them in the cold and snow with no problems."

Nikon Realtree Road Trip Binoculars,

"I bought theses binoculars for my wife to use 95% of the time back yard birdwatching and for myself 5% of the time deer hunting in North Florida. They are compact, travel very well, and offer excellent optics. I have a much larger pair of Nikon binoculars that I tried to use for hunting but they are somewhat bulky to drag into a tree stand. My wife enjoys these new compact binoculars too as they are so easy to use and very lightweight. This is an excellent purchase, and I highly recommend them."

definitely not waterproof,
November 10, 2008

"I got these recently and took them hunting a few times. They worked fairly well for short distance viewing until i was out this weekend in the snow. the binoculars got wet (not submersed in water - just snowed on), and now one lens is fogged up from the inside and will not clear, so I have one usable lens on them now. I would definitely opt for a pair of binocs that says "waterproof" instead."

"I wanted a binocular that I could fold up and keep in my pocket instead of carrying my heavier leupolds into the field all the time. These fit my need perferct. Easy to adjust and have pretty good optics especially for the price. They fold up and fit nicely into my front pocket."

This new 10x25 is poor quality and bulky.,
November 13, 2006
By hawkeye

"Compared to Nikon's previous earlier 10x25mm bonoculars the optical quality is poorer and this pair is harder to focus. Worse yet Nikon made the length of the focal tubes longer so the binoculars are over an 1" longer than the earlier pair. The construction is of poorer quality materials with stee replaced with plastic in most cases. I tested this new pair against their earlier 10x25 camo model and found the following issues:
1) took longer to focus. 2) older version had much better pop up eye relief rubber covers compared with new ones with plastic. 3) optics were not as crisp as older model. 4) bulkier by at least 1" or more in height. 5) much lower quality materials than earlier 10x25mm offering at the same price.
Essentially the Road Tri version is a step backwards for Nikon."
