"I switched up from a 650 fps Beeman (very accurate) to this one. It is a very heavy, long and loud rifle. I managed to tune the scope with +/- 1% with few shots. But it kept on going out of cal. using the same pellet type. I ended up returning it for a lighter (7.25 lbs vs 8.65) 1200fps whisper. Don't know if was the cheap scope or the rifle itself. It is a good looking rifle. Cabela's customer service is second to none.. Thank you for all you do."

"This is a very nice air rifle, well built and nice to look at. It only took me three shots to sight in the scope, which I later moved to get a better sight picture. However it is very particular about which pellet it likes. After trying 8 different types and styles I finally found one that shoots outstandingly. It's the raptor pellet. 3/8 inch groups at 30 yds. Loud report when firing this pellet but the results are worth it. The Beeman manual for this rifle does not recommend shooting alloy or steel pellets,Im not sure of the composition of this pellet,but the way this pellet shoots it's going in mine."

"Wow! What a gun. Looks like a deer rifle. Nice stock & scope. I tried many types of pellets. Some too load. Most would only hold a 3" group. The "Beeman" Kodiak Heavy Duty pellets holds a 1" group. It drops the critters in their tracks. I'm impressed, and I'm not easily impressed. Take your time and find the pellets that works for you. It took me 5 kinds. Great gun for the money."

"What a great airgun this is. Sighted the gun in from a range of 15 yards. The Pellet is hitting a quarter easily each time. Already have killed multiple birds with it. For the price and quality of the gun I would deffinately recommend this to anyone looking for something fun to plink around with."

"After received the rifle and within ten shots at the recomended 10 meters with a bench rest it was shooting same hole groups. At 30 meters the groups are almost as impressive. As for power generated by this gun all I can say is WOW! I use Gamo Raptor pellets and although I have not chronographed it yet but believe it to be around 1200fps. The only down side of this air rifle is that it is a little loud. No matter to me but if you are worried about neighbors keep that in mind."

"Received quickly, packaged well. Took it out that evening and love it. After aboat 12 shots I am shooting quarter sized groups at 25 yds. Sighted in pretty quick. I havn't tried adjusting the trigger pull but I don't think I need to, I have a tricked out Ruger 10/22 with all the bells and wistles and this air rifle shoots almost as accurate. It is a fairly heavy gun but I believe it helps with the recoil. I am still getting used to the spring-air action of this gun, but as with any quality gun with time and practice along with trying different ammo I believe I will be able to be very accurate at 50 to 60 yds. with this rifle. I would highly reccomend this to the person that wants a great gun for the the money. Thanks Beeman!"

RWS .177 Cal. Shooting/Maintenance Kit,January 17, 2008

"The cleaning and maintenance kit comes with everything needed to properly clean and lubricate your air rifle or air pistol. The kit appears to be made quite well, although running the cleaning rod through the rifled bore tended to loosen the three sections of threaded rods. I had to retighten them after each pass through the bore. The handiest accessory that is supplied is a long syringe type needle that screws onto either of the two included lubricating oils to get into those hard to reach places. One thing that should be included with the kit is a stack of .177 caliber patches. I ended up making my own by cutting down some .22 caliber patches that I had. All in all, the kit is an excellent buy and very functional."

"I have always wanted a high power pellet gun. I happen to get a 20% off coupon and was thinnking what should I get. I did tons of research on the web to find the best guns. After, reviewing all the information I had, I have no idea what drew me to this one. It was beautiful. Some guns felt cheaper made and I was not impressed with the workman ship. Either way I bought it. The box and manual had very little information, but after using it once or twice I understood way. I quickly sighted it in and was able to consistant hit a quater from 40 feet. I have 1 quater I hit 15 times before it blew off the sevan strain wire holding it up. This is my first high powered gun but it sounds like other people have had good experiences. With this gun I have had nothing but awesome shooting. I'm 1500 shot in and need more ammo. Also, ammo makes a huge difference. The Pba fires way faster and I actually had to adjust for it compared to other lead. As for the grouping I think I get more consistancy out of the gamo ammo with the bb in the top.
Either way happy shooting."

"I purchused the Beeman SS 1000T with high hopes to shot varmits. The first rifle i got was broken. The scope would not sight in the gun at 30 yards would hit all over the place with different shooters. I talked to customer service and they sent me a new one. I got the second one and the scope adujments were lose and the gun wouldnt hit a 2x3 piece of cardboard. with major changes it will not sight in. The scope and bases were tight and didnt move. I retuned the second one to buy a different type. i was very unhappy."

"I've had a few springers. I bought another brand yesterday and was not satisfied with the accuracy. The shadow 1000 I have is OK with decent accuracy but not nearly as consistent as this Beeman. This gun looks great (the bull barrel and prted barrel has a classy big game rifle look) and came with the scope attached and sighted in. I mean sighted in. I shot a large ragged hole into the center of nickel sized dot without even touching the scope at 10 meters. Very impressive. My only complaint is that the lever on the bottom that cocks the gun when you break the barrel open rattles around some, but this is only minor."

"Excellent buy for the price. Adult dimensions. Has very good "shootability". Meaning it fits well; balances well; easy to hold steady; very good trigger in this price range. Exceptional looks and the scope is as good a bargain. It came already mounted and took only 6 to 10 shots to zero. This scope has very good light gathering ability and in addition to having vartiable power, is also adjustable for parallax from 10 to 75 yards. It seems to be built well enough to pass onto grand children. It also delivers the power too. I've only tried Beeman hunting pellets so far in .177."
