J.S.Preditor 2 call,September 25, 2009
By sixchuter
"I purchased this call last fall and got to use it once. I just made a trip down to the Southern Utah Canyon country to go deer hunting and brought along the call. Upon going to use it, I discovered that the rotary on/off switch and volume control knob had fallen off and was now inside the case. I called Johnny Stewart parent company and was told sorry, warranty is only 90 days. I do not recommend this product, poor workmanship and lack of support."

Low sound,July 24, 2009

"Coyote would have to be very close to hear this call. Sounds are very real sounding but low volume. It has a outlet jack I may try to use another larger speaker."

The call to complete your shotgun!,July 19, 2009
By thegreatlitigantfrom Minnesota
"I bought this call for predator hunting to use as an alternate call with my tape caller. Considering the range of this call is limited, it has its uses. My first recommendation is to play with the volume at home because it can be very quiet and become very loud quickly. I count the notches on the dial as indicators of volume and use either 4th notch, 4 1/2 notch, or 5 notch for heavily wooded areas. Last November I called in a nice Grey fox. She came from a swamp to my left and circled downwind looking for the call that was behind me. Within feet of her being able to wind me I shotguned her at 23 yards. She fell 20 yards later. If I had more range I may have set this call up so I would have never seen this Fox come in. My advice to anyone who uses this call; Bring a shotgun to every stand, theres no tellin how close your target will appear."

"The call worked better that expected. It also called in deer. I was also able to have it respond out to a distance of 75 yards by hanging the speaker on a bush."

LEARN TO USE A MOUTH CALL!,April 29, 2009
By COLTER2from Northern Utah
"Tried call out several times first time called in 2 coyotes, haven't called in another since. The coyotes quickly figured out the call, because the range of sounds that it produces are very limited and has very little variety in any specific sound it is trying to duplicate. Would highly recommend learning to use a mouth call where you can add more variety to a calling sequence."

STICK WITH THE MOUTH CALLS,April 28, 2009
By COLTERDOGfrom Northern Utah
"I purchased the Predator version of this call and tried it out about the middle of February with two friends on the hillside above our houses. We hiked up about half a mile up to a group of draws where we knew there were likely some coyotes. Within about 10 minutes of the injured pup calling two coyotes popped up over the top of a ridge about at about 350 yards away they moved toward our position (which was the same as the calls) and came within about 300 yards we couldn't get a shot off because none of our guns (.22) were scoped, after about ten minutes of watching the coyotes saw us and ran off. We tried out the call about 5 or 6 times more with no results. This would be a good call if we had a new area to hunt coyotes each day, the coyotes learned quickly that the sounds of the call meant hunters. After no results with the electric call i switched over to a mouth call. I would highly recommend mouth calls over electric calls because they provide for a much wider range of sounds unlike the ones produced by the electric calls which don't have too much variety. But if you had to get an electric call it is worth it for the money."

great little call,April 20, 2009
By birdcaller
"Can't go wrong here. For the money it cost i got way more than I thought I would. It has worked great in locating birds early before season. Good distance on the remote and nice loud realistic sounds for such a small device. If you are thinking about buying one of the big expensive calls, think about trying this one first. You might find out you don't need to spend a lot of money to be very effective."

"i must say, this is an a great caller. my first attempt at coyote hunting was very successful. within the last few months, coyotes have decided to call my neck of the woods home. not wanting my livestock and pets harmed, i decided to get rid of these creatures. i bought this call, went into the woods, setup in a nice spot, turned the caller on, and within 30 minutes, i made my first kill. i would definitely recommend this call for a first time hunter. it was relatively inexpensive, and easy to use."

Johnny Stewart Attractor Call works Great,March 11, 2009
By BigfootTomfrom Catskill Mountains in New York
"Wow! My 2 hunting partners and I coyote hunt using a very high priced caller. I recently bought the Johnny Stewart Attractor to have in case I went out alone. This past weekend I used the Johnny Stewart attractor about 200 yards from where my buddy with the high priced caller was setting up. Less than a minute into calling using the rodent call I had a coyote come in from the ledge above me to within 60 yards. End of stand before my buddy got set up!!! The remote is a great feature that helps focus the attention away from the shooter. Called in a total of 4 coyotes that day! Light weight and easy to carry and set up."

Works for me.,March 5, 2009
By WTTrapperfrom Fort Edward, NY
"I really like the clarity of the sounds. (Its certainly sounds a lot better than the old cassette tapes, and eight pound caller with fifty feet of cord attached, I have been using all these years). I attach the 'JS Attractor Call' speaker to the stake which holds my motion decoy. It does not have the volume of my old cumbersome caller, but I have not had much success pulling coyotes from real long distances here in the Adirondacks anyway. If I think I need the extra range I still have my mouth calls. Not being able to control the volume with the remote doesn't bother me that much either. I have other close range calls that I use for closing the deal."

Good stuff,February 22, 2009
By Tim22from Wright City, MO
"I just used mine for my first time coyote hunting this morning. I went ahead and rubberbanded a hand warmer to the battery cover to keep the batteries from getting ice cold. The remote works good at the distances I used it for...I kept it within about 35 yards. I set up twice on the way to the spot down by the creek where I really wanted to hunt. Nothing happened on the way there. When I got setup on my third spot on a hillside overlooking the creek bottom, about 5 mins in, I had used the cottontail distress only a few times before I spotted a coyote!! Man I was shaking so bad. I got him to come all the way in to the creek and cross it. I got a shot on him at about 60-75 yards and he would've gotten even closer no problem. He was on a mission to find that cottontail. He didn't make it. I was reading all these reviews for the past couple of days trying to make a decision on what to buy. I had to tell my story as well. I got the predator 2 version by the way. I can't believe I bagged my first coyote so fast. Awesome product for the money."

Attractor Call = Not So Attractive Right Now,February 17, 2009
By WiscoWarriorfrom Wisconsin
"Bought this call and was really excited to give it a go...unfortunately it wouldn't go. Replaced the batteries in the main unit--light came on, but no sound came out. Replaced the special battery in the remote--still no sound. Called Hunter Specialties (mfg. of this product) and asked some questions and they told me to exchange it. I'll give it one more try and see if it works, then update the review.
Coincidentally, this call is supposed to be ready-to-go in the package. Really disappointing to have to go through this on a new product."
