look great, but very uncomfortable,November 3, 2009
By painter77
"bought these as work shoes. I wore them for 3 weeks. They were very uncomfortable, but thought they needed breaking in, so I kept wearing them. They never did get any better, so I gave them away. I have a very normal foot, size 10 , medium width, and I am not overweight."

Good shoe,October 26, 2009
By thechasefrom St. Augustine, FL
"Good light weight shoe, however the black mesh weave is fraying at the stress points which gives the appearance of black fuzz coming out. Otherwise a good shoe."

good value,October 19, 2009
By rodeoboyfrom North Central Iowa
"I haven't had them long, but I am impressed so far. I need a safety toe for work, where I am often outside walking. These were slightly uncomfortable the first day I wore them, now they feel great. They are so comfortable that I often wear them when I am not at work. I like that they are lightweight for a safety toe and I love the affordable price. Design appears to be durable but time will tell."

Steel-toed pain!!!,September 18, 2009
By Jaysun222from Warren, PA
"Although these hikers look sweet for the $ & are very comfortable (As far as cushioning goes (Under your feet)) the Steel-toe piece(s) seem(s) to dig-in to the corner of your feet...painfully. I don't have wide feet; but, I would definately urge you to try these on in the store first....trust me, I really wish that I did!!!"

Wide but clumpy,August 17, 2009
By NJHiker52from Warren, NJ
"I purchased these online knowing that I have very wide (EEEE) feet. I was surprised when they fit comfortably with a pair of poly/cotton black athletic socks. The toe box of the left shoe was just slightly narrower than the right foot and I feel it after 7-8 hours outside. This is undoubtedly a manufacturing anomaly and shouldn't be considered representative of the design.
The tread pattern of the shoe is, while great for dry traction, a magnet for clay and debris. Again, not a problem but something to be aware of. I have taken more time trying to clean these than any other work or hiking boots I've ever owned. Not an issue when I'm outside but I have to take them off every time I go in the house for water or a snack.
Overall it's a great shoe and I highly recommend it. It's comfortable, durable and very good for even wide feet. The price makes it a bargain in my mind."

Great boots, even better customer service,July 31, 2009
By Tippyfrom GI NE
"Great comfy steel toe hikers. Good looking too. I was hired for a new job on Thursday morning and they told me I had to have steel toe shoes by my start date on Monday, or no work. I wear 14 EE, so I just can't go to the mall and buy shoes. I ordered these hikers at 11:00 am Thursday and just 21 hours later, they were on my feet. Is that amazing or what. Thanks Cabela's for the great customer service you are famous for. Simply Awesome!!"

comfortable, lightweight,July 18, 2009
By hilljack74from Canton, OH
"Finally a pair of comfortable lightweight steel toe work boots. I have purchased many boots over the last few years. I have to say with out a doubt these are the most comfortable steel toe boots I have ever owned. The boots are light weight as well. Have not had them in wet weather yet so I can't say if the waterproofing is good or not. I would recommend these boots to anyone."

Dry-Plus Steel Toe Hiker,June 27, 2009
By EdgeManfrom Hartford City, In. Construction Worker
"This is the second pair of Dry-Plus Hikers that I have purchased. I work construction outside everyday. I am required to walk or wade through a variety of conditions from dust to mud and water. The Dry-Plus keeps my feet dry and comfortable. They clean up easily with a garden hose and boot brush. Although they are inexpensive they have alot of the qualites of a more expensive boot. I am very well pleased with this boot."

Poor comfort overall,May 27, 2009
By Scooter11111from Lisbon, NY
"I could not wear these hikers, very uncomfortable. The inside sole of the right foot felt like it was lower than the rest of the sole, it felt like my ankle was going to turn in when I wore them, Hopefully it was a defect and not all of them were made this way. I sent them back and ordered a different pair."

Cabela's Dry-Plus® Steel Toe Hiker,May 5, 2009
By PISTOL1from Troy, NY
"Not a bad steel toe boot for the price. The webbing around the toe is starting to fray and may need to be sent back. The dry-plus is nice when working outdoors in the spring. I use them when I don't feel like wearing my steel toe work boots. Overall, a good boot to wreck."

Cabela's 400-gram steel toe Lace-to-Lace boots,April 20, 2009
By MikejohnstownOHIOfrom Johnstown,OH
"This is a very comfortable boot and the steele toe is very light weight. But the areas where fabric meet the leather started fraying the first week. and the rubber sole in the back wears very fast. I have only had these boots over a month. I picked the Cabela's brand because I am very please with the boots I bought last year and use for the winter time. I work as a plumber at a university where the dont get muddy and stay clean. I bought these boots for the summer to be able to wear with shorts and I'm afraid they will be worn out before the summer."
