Not worth the money,

"For the money I will go back to gold tip arrows after these are gone, you get a little better penetration but with the weight forward out at 40yds they drop more and my groups are not any better at 20yds than the gold tips. Not worth the extra money."

"The most expensive arrows on the market in my opinion, but if you can afford to buy and try you won't be disappointed. I used them in a recent outdoor archery tournament and they were getting deeper penatration then the gold tips my friend was using and he shoots a bowtech at 80lbs. and I shoot my bowtech at 70lbs. I also shot my glendale fullrut at twenty yards with my slick trick broadhead and got a complete pass through. I think its time for a new vital insert. These arrows are very hard hitting with deeper penatrations period."

"The only thing that I have found after purchasing my new arrows was that they did drop in flight compared to my previous arrows. But since they are weight forward, I kinda knew that when ordering them. So other than the fact of having to raise sights some. They are straight shooters. This was also my first experience with the 2" Fletchings, I had always shot the 4" but the 2" seem to make no flight differences. They work well. So far I have not shot from a elevation, but will soon. I shoot Mechanical broadheads and think these will work fine with the 2" cutters I use. We'll see? but your safe as far as I'm concerned with these arrows. A really fine arrow as always and so far its the only brand I have trusted. DBJ"

"i switched over to these this year to get some high performance arrows and it truly made a difference. No more wobbly arrows out past 20 yards. I shot 2 deer with these this year, one of which passed through and the other hit the opposite shoulder. This arrow did break but only from the force of the deer running against it. Very consistent but buy some extra nocks. I shot off a few but the bull dog collars prevented it from touching the arrow itself. VERY GOOD"

"This arrow is the only arrow on the market that is worth 5 stars (close seconds being easton ACC and radial X-weaves). The diameter, weight, and accuracy are perfect, not to mention their durability. I have put them through trees and wood fences during some risky shots taken in tournaments. I have also killed deer with complete pass throughs that were unscathed. I have to say I am impressed with this arrow, and if they were not so expensive I would have another dozen."

Great arrows, but overpriced with cheap nocks!,

"The Carbon Express Maxima Hunter Arrows shoot like laser beams, but they would be much better if Cabela's would sell them cheaper as bare shafts, and let the customers choose inserts, nocks, and vanes to use and mount themselves. As complete arrows, they are overpriced when the vanes seem to come off after every other shot, and the nock insert is so loose in the shaft that they keep popping out of the arrow on target impact! I finally got so tired of looking for the missing nocks and fed up with having to reattach missing vanes that I stripped all the vanes off the arrows and re-glued new ones on, and replaced all the nocks with new ones as well. Now everything stays on the arrow like it is supposed to do, and I have to shoot at different points on every shot to keep from shooting the new nocks off previous arrows! Again, these are great shooting shafts, but sold with very cheap nocks and poorly glued vanes."

"I have found these arrows to be the best arrows I have ever purchased. These are the arrows to use when shots go wide and end up in wood. When I shot into wood I lost the point but unsrewed the arrow and the arrow was as good as new, I was surprised. The tightest groups I have ever had are with these arrows. The arrows are expensive but the benefits warrant it for me. I am an average hunter. Most really good shots I have met use thsese arrows."

"These arrows fly great excellent tolerances. Very tough have put them through deer into stumps on the other side and the arrow was still fine. The blazers are very tough as well and do a good job of stabilzing the arrow flight even with smaller fixed broadheads."

"These carbons are fantastic,I shoot a lot and don't miss much ,I have been shooting these arrows for 2 years none broken I shoot a Diamond Black ice and Marquis Bow.They are an accurate arrow if you run these in a cinder block or grass or rock they will break .I'm not expecting these arrows not to break with abuse.1000 shots in a target has to do something to them.I will buy again and again .my next posssative review will be on gold tips.Highly recomend"

"I shoot every single day of the summer for a few hours. these arrows are the definition of accurate. but i must say their durablity is horrible. ive broke six of them already this month. and im not shooting through metal or hitting rocks. these arrows wear down so quickly ill pass another one of my arrows and it'll snap. im very dissappointed about it espially for the going price."

"I bought them to try with my custom long bow (I had been using xx75s). I cut and fletch my own arrows with 5 inch feathers so I like being able to buy the bare shafts instead of having to strip the vanes off. However, I have used the Blazer vanes with my compound and found them second to none. I have not taken them hunting yet but their accuracy is very good up close and farther out. I had not considered using a carbon arrow for my long bow until I tried these. I bought a half dozen to try them out and will probably set up a dozen more."
