BaseSlayers with ClimaFleece is an activated-carbon base layer made for cold-weather hunting. The fleece-lined polyester fabric in these pants is remarkably soft next to the skin and has a brushed finish, adding loft to keep you warmer longer. As with all Scent-Lok BaseSlayers garments, these pants have a layer of activated-carbon ClimaFlex™ to adsorb game-alerting odors. An antimicrobial backing prevents the formation of odor-causing bacteria on the fabric surface. Imported.

"I ordered a large and extra large not knowing which would fit. Guess What! Neither would fit!! The length from the waist to the croch was like wearing the low rider pants. If you sit down, the pants would ride so low, they were below your butt crack. Not good when sitting on a cold day."

"The pants are warm and cozy but if you are a normal sized guy with a 32 waist and 32 inseam do not go with the medium pants buy large. I usually always buy large tops and medium pants in all other gear except these now i have to wear long socks."

Great Cold Weather Protection,September 17, 2009

"Went Elk hunting in Utah last year and it was about 30 degrees outside, cold wet weather. I found that the baseslayers with climafleece worked exceptionally and I kept warm throughout the mornings and evenings in some pretty cold weather. I thought the fit was very comfortable and allowed for proper flex and movement as I hiked through thick trees and crawled over fallen debris in the forest.
As I got too hot one afternoon while hiking, I actually took off my coat and just had on the baselayer top. I was very comfortable and stayed just the right temp.
You've got to have a base layer of scent control. I think that as a PART of your scent control strategy, to achieve being as scent free as possible, I think the Scentlok Baseslayers are a must to your hunting gear list.
I did decide to order another top and bottom for this years hunt, can't wait!"

"Great quality as far as material goes, as I bought the top also. However, the inseam must be about 27", way too short, and I am 5'10". The top fit fine, but the sizing on the pants is way too small, and I returned them for a large. Hopefully, they will fit correctly, as I have yet to receive them."

"This product was tested during my spring archery shoots on two occations which the temps were in low 30s. I only wore a sweat shirt and blue jeans to see if I were to get cold was put to rest with sweating so I am convinced that sitting in a tree stand for long durations will be warm and toasty. "Overall, this is a good product and any serious deer hunter should consider purchasing. As far as scent control goes I would give it 5 stars, I did not get busted all season by deer that I could see. I had deer come in downwind of me several times without winding me. Of course, I dont rely on scent conrol clothing only, I use the scent control bath/body products, clothing spray, scent wafers (stick on clothing and use in vehicle), rubber boots, scent free storage bags, and I use bakingsoda as mouthwash/toothpaste as well as on the inside of hat/tobogan. Using scent control products will definitely increase your chances and put more game in front of you. The reason I give this product a 3 star rating is because of comfort and fit. Their sizing is about 1-2 sizes smaller than what it actually is. I am 6'3" and weigh 265, and I usually wear 2XL in tops and XL in bottoms and that is a comfortable fit for me with plenty of room. I ordered 2XL in both the tops and bottoms. The top is a snug fit and the bottoms are even snugger with the pants riding down your backside if you squat or bend over. I would say if you are 6' or shorter and 225 or lighter then these base layers would be an excellent fit. Would definitely recommend getting at least a size or two larger than what you normally wear. Hopefully they will start making a 3XL size and talls. Also, some of the stitching has come loose already after one season. Hope this review helps."

"I live in western new york where we currently have almost four feet of snow on the ground. It has snowed almost everyday since the second day of the regular deer season. These socks keep my feet warm and transport sweat away when i walk and my feet sweat. The scent control is just a added bonus for any serious hunter trying to get close to that next big buck. "I used these under my wool bibs and they make the perfect compliment, if it gets really cold adding long johns will help even more, but I hunted in Canada last year -10 and these and my wool bibs was fine. I did wear these along with shorts over the top for early season bow hunting and they were warm by themselves.
I would disagree with others on here who say these fit like sweatpants, they are much tighter than I expected. They are not loose fitting like sweatpants, I had to return my first pair and get one size larger, but they are more form fitting like underarmour than loose fitting. Also they tend to ride low in the back, so if you have a problem with "plumber butt" these will not help the case."

"These are the best base layer pants I have ever tried. They are very comfortable, and warm. I wore them under my packable rain pants walking in 36 degree temp and was very comfortable. Added a pair of light sweatpants when sitting and stayed warm all day. I had a Blacktail doe walk by eatting at about 15yrds down wind and she never spooked."
