More freedom,
September 18, 2009
By OBONRACER
from Holland,Michigan

"After several years of hunting tree stands, huts etc. Our group is planning to go mobile. I haven't used it yet as hunting season isn't here yet.I and my partners have all set up the chair in all conditions including the dark, with no light. Easy to set up and extremely portable. The only problem I had was putting it together. It was missing one major bolt and the screws that hold the seat to the frame were the wrong size for the existing holes.None othat was a problem as I changed all the hardware to stainless steel anyway.Great product as far as I can see."

"I bought this seat last year. I like it but, it does not weigh 5lbs. It weighs 9lbs. I called summit and they said "they would check into it". We'll see. I suggest us hunters start weighing our products insted of just taking their word for it. A few pounds can make a huge difference over a long hike."

comfort,

"the summit chair was light to carry into the woods and very easy to install. once set into place the chair is very comfortable. the only negative is that the tree should have a slight lean to it so the chair is bettor to sit in, because with the solid 90 degree back rest it is straight up."

Summit Trophy Chair,
December 3, 2008
By deermasterslayer
from Indiana
|
"The summit trophy chair is the greatest tree seat I have ever purchased. This chair not only gets you up off of the ground but it also improves your view in the woods. The chair also allows you comfort that will allow for the entire day in the field. It is super light and travels very well. A pair of straps (not included) was all this chair needed for the perfect addition to my hunting equipment. The only minus I could see is if you are a very large man. I am 6 foot, 210 lbs and it works fine. Too much larger of a man might complain about the size of the chair. Overall, this is an A + purchase and I would recommend this chair to almost everyone that wants some ground time in the woods. Sometimes you just dont want to carry that climber.......here is your solution."

Not Bad At All,

By YGRMSTR

"I purchased this chair because I prefer to hunt about 3-6 off the ground. The height on this was perfect and it is very comfortable. I place a stool or branch below my feet for a perch and support. The price was a little above average but definitely reasonable."

"I'm not a big fan of hunting from a tree stand. Borrowed my hunting partners seat as an alternative to sitting on a bucket. You can sit comfortably all day in this thing. Liked it so much I bought my own."

Wrong bolts,
January 30, 2008
By Magog
from Upstate New York
|
"When I attempted to put the Summit folding chair together I found that the wrong bolts were enclosed. They were too small and just fell into the holes and could not be tightened. I was very suprised because Summit has excellent products. I just made a trip to the hardware and purchased larger bolts, but have not yet had a chance to put the chair together. Unfortunately I was not able to try the chair during deer season because of this problem."

A fantastic chair,
January 18, 2008
By BillX
from Somers, CT
|
"The Summit folding Trophy Chair is the best thing for ground hunting I've used yet. I've used other seats, but eventually I would wind up on the ground. This totally adjustable chair fits on almostany tree and can be adjusted to your exact comfort. The back rest keeps knot or broken branches from digging into your back. It is like taking my Smmit tree stand seat and using it on the ground. It sets up in 2 minutes and is easily carried into the woods (once you get the hang of it). I Showed it to afriend and he immediately went out and ordered one. I recommend this chair o anyone who wants to hunt in comfort."

Needs ratchet straps.,

"I used the chair for both bow and gun season, you can sit for long periods of time, but it needs to be wider and the main thing is it needs ratchet straps to really secure it to the tree."

So Comfortable,
January 8, 2008
By CCNOVA1
from In the swamps of NY
|
"This chair is VERY comfortable. I like to get to my spot and sit for hours. With this seat, it is much more enjoyable. I would have given it a 4 1/2 star review if available due to bulkiness of it. It comes with a strap to cinch it up for carrying, but it always seems to slip off and it is very bulky. It will also make a clinking sound when you step if it is not perfectly tight. Even with that said, I would recommend this to anyone as far as ease to fasten to a tree and being in total comfort."

Can't Climb Anymore,
November 13, 2007
By livin
from CT
|
"I Bought this Stand for my father who is getting up there in age. He seemed to like it except he said the seat needed to be a few inches longer. Now days he only hunts a few hours in the morning and afternoon and was comfortable for that time periods. Overall a decent buy, but if you are over 5'8' would not recommend. Good alternative for those who can't get up in a tree stand anymore."

Small and uncomfortable,
October 31, 2007
By IHuntTexas2also

"I bought one and tried it out last weekend. I'm 5-8 and 175lbs. This seat is too small for someone my size or bigger. It seems best sized for children or small women. It's also quite flimsy and doesn't look like it will hold up an entire season. I'm taking mine back."

Not for bigger people,
June 2, 2007
By PlantFoodPlots
from Northeast Pennsylvania
|
"I was excited to try out this product when I first saw it. I'm 6'2" and around 250lbs. The seat is just not big enough to comfortably handle a person this size. I lasted one hour in it during deer season before I ended up removing the padded section from the frame and used it to sit on the ground. This product would be better off for people with smaller frames, such as women or children."
