"These things are really nice but yet have some real issues. Clear and crisp at lower powers but not so clear and crisp at high power. They also don't do well in the rain. In fact it almost ruined them when I got caught in a down pour while wearing them. I had to disassemble them to get the water out. After I put them back togother they don't work as well. I have also never used the high power cause you can't hold them still enough to really get a good look at anything. Zoom for hunting is almost useless."

very poor quality product,

"Not only do the glasses let in so little light at the highest magnification so that they only work in bright sunlight, the relative focus of the left and right lenses changes with magnification.You have to readjust the right lens depending upon magnification. Plus, they are not even remotely water resistant. I'm returning mine and buying another brand."

"I bought these Nikons thinking I would get the best of both worlds. A large field of view on a lower magnification and clear up-close detail with a higher magnification. As you zoom in, you really lose a lot of light gathering ability. Unless its a very sunny day, the image is very dark and picking out detail becomes hard to do. I think the idea is great, but to me, these binos were only average."

"first time out they fogged up internaly
very poor optics.
i expected more from nicon.
i have not reterned them yet since i lost recipt.
purchaced them in november elk hunted in december and
they fogged first hour out havent touched them since
very disapointing."

"The zoom binoculars are not good in the early morning and are not good after 8 power. I would recommend getting just a 10 or 12 power binoculars for hunting and spotting game. I made a mistake in ordering these."

"These binoculars are lightweight, easy to focus and have a relatively bright field. The zoom is very easy to control and stays very nearly in focus throughout the range. While the image is adequately sharp, it is not as sharp as those binoculars costing in the $800 - $1000 range, as would be expected."

"Great binoculars with one exception. I just had eight days with them hunting Plains Game in S. Africa and used them hourly. When you get past the 16X setting on the zoom the focus and clarity drop off dramatically. 24X is poor. I left them on 12X - 14X for the last couple of days and was most happy. Size is great, no bulk, everyone wanted to use them."

"This is a very good product. I like them alot due to how compact they are. The only thing I don't like is that at mid to full zoom they are not as clear as I thought they would be. Aftera few seconds of playing with the fine adjustment they work great. But as I found out this year a few seconds can cost you."

"I purchased 2 pair of Nikon Eagleview Zoom Binocs for me and my son for a Montana Elk/Muledeer hunt we went on in Oct 2006. Both of us were very pleased with what we purchased. They were very lightweight and quit easy to focus. Also with the zoom you never had a view out of range. You can zoom and focus all with one hand while watching your animal. Highly recommended."

"This is the first pair of zoom binoculars that I've purchased. The light weight and small size made them very easy to pack in and out while hunting. I'm now in my mid 50s and the less I have to carry the better.I found these binoculars to be everything advertised "as most Cabales items are" . I'm going to orded two more pair for my huntin buddies for Christmas. Thanks"
