Durable and good for day time use.,October 13, 2009
By doubledoubleufrom Albuquerque, NM
"I have owned a pair of these for 3 years now. I have found them to be unexpectedly durable. I am not one to baby my equipment and these binos have been knocked around, sat on and spent more time dusty and dirty than they have clean. In spite of all my mistreatment they continue to work well. They are easy to adjust and very light to carry. The only reason I gave them a three star rating is because they don't perform well in low light conditions. I use them primarily during deer season and when the deer are most active in the early morning before sun up and after sundown they let in very little light and are no better than the naked eye."

Nikon Travelite® V Binoculars,October 13, 2009
By Lautfrom Traverse City, Michigan
"I replaced some 10x25 Travellites that I had dropped and wrecked with these 8-24x25 Travellites. They are just a little bit bigger and are not quite as nice for carrying into football games or concerts, but do zoom in excellent for hunting and have real nice clarity for being so small."

Nikon travelite V binoculars,October 12, 2009
By Snowmonkey1from IA
"Very good clarity. Easy to find and focus on objects quickly. Good quality for the price of these binoculars. Haven't used them in cold weather yet, but so far I am pleased with their performance. Has only 2 lens caps as mentioned before by other reviewers. (Not sure what Nikon was thinking on this one.) The 10X25 comes with a soft nylon case to store binoculars."

field proven,February 8, 2009
By zacharfrom West Augusta, VA
"Little story: My dad bought these binoculars 2 years ago. I borrowed them for a last day of rifle hunting trip and dropped a doe at 300 yards. Approaching the doe I took off my binocs and rolled up my sleeves, and forgot the binoculars. For two weeks they layed under new snow and eventually muddy mush. But I found them and given a day they cleared up beautifully. RIGHT ON I'M OFF THE HOOK! Well like father like son-or like son like father- the next year, my dad had 'em on when he downed a 6-pointer the 2nd day of rifle. And again, against the elements and sitting lonely near a gut pile, they layed. for 2 months my dad was upset. I think it was his 3rd time searching for his binoculars in all the wrong places when he found them. They were foggy but 3 days in the house and the only complaint i've got is the mice chewed through the strap. super clear binoculars even right now. I've been using these reviews for making some serious decisions and thought this had to be read. For the money, the quality's there and reliability is, well, left to the hunter....NIKONS!"

By Tom91011from Fort Collins, CO
"We are very pleased with these binoculars - easy to operate and high quality. The "zoom" feature is very effective and there isn't that much degradation of the image. Great for college football games (and keeping track of our college student there!)."

Nikon Travelite,December 10, 2008
By FroggieinTallyfrom Tallahassee, Fl
"I first purchased the 8x24 zoom: the magnification capability was awesome, but the field of view was too small. So I went with the 10X25 and couldn't be happier. Purchased 2 more pair for my sons for Christmas. I like the fact that they need very little focusing and the optics are crystal clear. They compare favorable with a pair of 10x25 Zeiss I had, but lost while hunting (they were tooo small and fell out of my pocket in a swamp!) These are just as light, but have enough bulk that I wear them around my neck, not in a pocket! You can't go wrong with these binos for deer/turkey hunting and wildlife viewing."

All Purpose Binocs - 10x25,December 3, 2008
By FlyFisherinCA
"These are some nice binoculars! They are lightweight, sharp, powerful, easy to focus, and feel good in our hands. We checked the 8X and the variable power, and decided on these. With or without glasses, they're easy to use.
I only gave them four stars, because if you don't look directly through the center of the eyepieces, a white haze will be visible.
My wife will be replacing her 30+ year-old Bushnell 8x50 and a pair of 8x21 Meade binocs with this one pair. She likes them because when she brings them up to her eyes, she doesn't have to search for the target."

Good Binocs - got my deer,November 19, 2008
By diesalfrom Cody, WY
"I have used the binoculars while deer hunting this past season and will use again elk hunting. They were easy to carry while hiking and they were strong enough to see what I wanted to see. They will be used on our Sunday drives up the south and north fork to look for animals this winter (elk, deer, Big Horn sheep, antelope, moose, eagles) I hope to get lots of use out of these binoculars"

great binoculars,November 7, 2008
By huntnfish247from Minden, Ne
"Bought these Nikon 12x25 this fall to use for the December deer season. I have used these to identify ducks on ponds and were surprised how clear they were for the money. A friend of mine has a pair of Nikon Monarchs 10x42 and can't tell much difference between them. I am glad I didn't spend $300 or more for a pair that wouldn't be much better. Have looked through many different binocs and would have to say Nikon makes one of the best binocs under $1000."

Crystal Clear, Easy, Great Value,September 23, 2008
By JimNorhternCAfrom Northern Ca
"I find the Nikon Travelite to be such a joy to use. It is quick to focus and so very clear. In the evening hours, the clarity and brightness comes through without any problems in fuzziness or second guessing. The focal area through the lens are clear without any distortion or bending of the image. I noted the lightness and easiness of use without fumbling about to get that quick focus. If I were to have a second choice in selecting a fine, easy to use, clear and top of the line binocular, I would not hesitate to purchase this one set again (and again). Go for it without worries. Good value and product for a very moderate price. Jim"
