Colorado Long Bow Shooter,November 1, 2009
By Colo110FoldingHunterFanfrom Colorado Springs,CO
"I purchased a Sequoia 68" 60 lb long bow through Cabelas. I could not be more pleased with the quality craftmanship of the bow & how accurate it is! If you purcahse this bow buy a quality bow stringer because you will need one! It is a little difficult for me to string by myself & I usually need a friend to assist me. I would recommend this bow to anyone who is looking for a quality long bow! Be careful on not getting a bow with too much draw weight!"

Very very pleased,June 30, 2009
By JimBanjofrom Phoenix, AZ
"I bought this bow based on customer review alone. I could have gone with a cheaper recurve but this bow garnered so much praise, that's what sold me, and I needed a 40# plus draw for hunting in Arizona. It is a really beautiful weapon in terms of its wood, finish, and design. It is a more accurate bow than I even imagined, and it is powerful and consistent. It amazes me how it shoots "instinctively", much better than others I've tried, and does not give me much target panic at all (it's so consistent). I would not hesitate to carry this for game and I look forward to many years of enjoyment from it. The hand shock takes a little getting used to but one could always pad the grip to suit oneself. Outstanding in every way."

the sequoia 68" longbow...,June 5, 2009
By zezdyfrom Western Nebraska...
"First of all, keep in mind that I am 16, but please don't let my age sway your acceptance (or not) of this review...
I have nothing but compliments to say for this bow! This is my third traditional bow, and I must say, it is my FAVORITE! It is a brilliant synthesis of style and power. My father and I actually both fell in love with this bow so much, that I gave him mine and we ordered another for me. He has the 50# and I have the 60#. These bows are so accurate, (used with the equipment: Easton Gamegetter twos 2219, The bear hair rest also found on this website, and a finger tab) that I have consistently been able to shred a tennis ball from 20-25 yards. The speed is excellent, (it doesn't matter if you miss at 200fps or 315, a miss is a miss or vice verce.) This bow balances well and shoots like a dream. Honestly I do not think we could have made a better purchase."

Good beginner bow,May 11, 2009
By Walkurefrom California
"I'm a novice archer and wanted to purchase an inexpensive starter bow. This bow was perfect for me. However the 50Lb bow was a little strong for me so I exchanged for the 45Lb. For the money you can't go wrong with this bow."

Sequoia Longbow,May 8, 2009
By robinhood9311
"I am new to archery just recently. This bow was my first ever. I prefer the traditional type hunting, so I decided to go with a longbow right of the bat. This is a really good bow, especially for a beginner. I am not disappointed at all in my purchase. In fact, I am even more please because I got it for cheaper out of the Bargain Cave. If you are a traditional loving person, this bow will be great for you."

Great bow,March 23, 2009
By Swimmerscottfrom Washington State
"I am just getting back into archery after 27 years. I thought I would try a traditional longbow. I am not disapointed in the Sequoia. I have been shooting it for just over a week, and am doing better now than I did with the last bow I had a long 27 years ago. That bow was a good (for the time) compound bow and I practiced regularly. The sequoia is easy to set up, and points naturally. I find that arrow flight is smooth and straight. Other archers with many more years of experiece commented on how well the bow shoots those arrows. The fact that it is so easy to master for instinctive shooting says a lot about the bow. I am more than pleased."

PSE Sequoia 55#longbow,September 23, 2008
By saskwatchfrom Ipswich, MA
"I've used a compound for several years. This is my first longbow. I was first amazed at how light it was, and how much power can be stored in such a light, simple design. After a few weeks of shooting, I have 4-5" groups at 25-30 yards; with 28" draw length, carbon arrows, 100 grain pts. Beaver hide string silencers and bear fur arrow rest work great. Shoots smooth, quick, and reliably accurate; aesthetic is simple and elegant. The sequoia makes a good squirrel hunter too. Can't wait until deer season."

Sequoia 68" Longbow,August 11, 2008
By CamperPopPopfrom West Chester, PA
"A very pretty piece of wood! I'm not a very experienced archer so perhaps it's due to my inexperience that I can't see how any other 45lb 68 in. longbow could be significantly better. Two small gripes though: The string is a half to perhaps three-quarter of an inch too short. I ordered a spare, and this applies to both. The result: even without twists, the sting is too short to permit the 5.5 in. brace height recommended; 7.25 is the lowest the string permits. But it shoots well. The second minor gripe: even though the bow is marked: "45# @ 28 in" at my local archery dealer the bow measured 42 lb, and that's with a 7.25 in. brace height. At a 5.5 in brace height, it would be even lighter. But, as I said, enjoy shooting it, and would have no problem recommending it to anyone, ESPECIALLY for the money!"

Longbow PSE,July 21, 2008
By bowdog62010from Central Illinois
"I installed a bearhair rest, beaverballs silencers bought a second string and am shooting woodies with magnus snuffers. This bow has thrown all the arrows I have tried (carbon, aluminium and wood) into tight groups. I am pleased with it and will try for whitetails this year. I have shot traditional since the early 60's and will stay with cut on contact heads. This bow is a little longer than I am used to since I shot a Damen and Howatt recurve for so long. Performs well with just a little hand shock."

55# Sequoia Long bow,July 7, 2008
By JerseyBoyfrom CO
"I am a compound shooter and decided to try the dark side. I read the reviews of the Sequoia and thought I would give it a try due to its reasonable price. It has taken me some practice to actually become reasonable with this bow (compared to the compound of course) but I am enjoying the challenge of the whole thing. My bow shoots best with a very light spine .400-.600 shoot pretty well. I am still trying to find the best combo. The arrow charts indicate a stiffer arrow than what has worked for me. Good looking bow and as others have mentioned you will need a string silencer."

Sequoia 68" Longbow,June 30, 2008
By IrishCherokeefrom Georgia
"Having a Cherokee grandmother, I often made flatbows and longbows as a child from a single piece of wood (usually hickory since I live in the Appalachian foothills of north Georgia). Now I try to make longbows from composites. I purchased the Sequoia Longbow because I wanted something professionally created, I'm not that good at making bows having minimal skill and professional tools, and I'm a traditional archer (no compounds, hyper-cams, or sights). This bow has been the subject of much discussion and envy. Historically, I put snake skins on the front of my bows and I'm thinking about a rattlesnake skin for this bow. However, it looks too perfect to touch."

Sequoia,May 6, 2008
By longbowhunter65from South Dakota
"This is a very shooter friendly bow. This bow is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the hand. I would recommend this bow for anyone from beginner to well seasoned with a longbow. I do recommend a flemish string & fur silencers, but the dacron string that comes with the bow shoots fine also. No guessing here a fine bow for the money @ the range or in the field."

"The 60 pound Sequoia longbow is like a dream. It is beautifully finished, and it radiated power when I took it out of the package. It was like having a gigantic, muscleman in my apartment. Drawing and shooting are incredibly smooth, and the power makes it feel like I'm driving nails at 25 yards. Outstanding purchase."

"For a reasonably priced "entry level" longbow its an excellant value and performs very well with my cedar arrows. A great bow to get into traditional archery. Very liitle hand shok or stack with this bow and its attractive and well made."
