resistant for years of reliable service in the field. The presence of a GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok®
membrane achieves two important purposes. First, this footwear is 100% waterproof, yet it breaths so
that perspiration is wicked out and away from the surface of your foot. Secondly, any foot odors are
blocked from escape, making it impossible for them to be detected by keen-scented game animals.
That's an important consideration during the warm weather often encountered on early-season hunts.
What's more, these uninsulated boots weigh an average of only 2-1/2 lbs. per pair and are every bit as
comfortable to wear as a pair of favorite sneakers. That lightweight comfort will keep you hunting from

Good mountain boot,November 2, 2009

"I got this pair of boots to take on my first Colorado elk hunt. Having never hunted in the mountains before, I hoped I was getting a good boot. As others commented about the boots, I would say a week is about right for break in time. Once broken in, I really liked the boots. I also agree that they run a bit big. I ordered a half size smaller as others recommended in their comments, and they were right. Mine fit perfectly in the half size smaller. The boots are light and I had no problems with leakage while fording streams. I had another pair of insulated boots along with stiffer soles. I found the Silent Stalk Sneakers gave me much better traction while climbing the 26 to 30% slopes. I ended up wearing them every day of the hunt. I am very pleased with them."

"i was apprehensive about buying a pair of boots without being able to try them on first.but as i needed a pair for a couple of out of state,early season hunts,plus our early archery season,and liked what i read about these,i ordered a pair.i started wearing them on my daily 4 mile exercise walk,to break them in, as soon as they arrived.it was unnecessary.these are without a doubt the most comfortable boots i have ever had on my feet,and i have had them in some rugged terrain,in some serious wet weather,and so far they have been completely waterproof.they are light on the feet,have great support,and give me a feel for most things under foot.i suggest ordering them 1/2 size larger than your normal size,which i did,and it made for a perfect fit.i use these for my everyday footwear most of the time,and will until spring.regards,bob"

"These are good boots for the price. I spent about two weeks this summer wearing them all day as work/hunting boots on a ranch in 100+ degree weather. They are comfortable and light to have on all day. While they are not silent they are relatively quiet compared to others I was walking around in the bush with. I would definately purchase them again. The upper is starting to fray a bit right above the sole but that may be due to the heavy duty wear. They may not stack up to an all day/every day type of boot."

"I recently wore these boots on a early season grouse hunt in northern Michigan. These were right out of the box and were very comfortable. The terrain was very rough and some swamp/water crossing was involved. I experienced no leaks. Traction was adequate and ankle support was very good. These boots have a great temperture comfort range also as it was 35 degrees at the start of the hunt and 70 at the end. I have narrow feet and usually get some minor heal blisters but experienced non with these boots. The boots are light which is important as you fatigue. As with most items I purchase from Cabela's, these are a solid value."

"I recently purchased my third set of these boots. They have lasted about 2 years on average with heavy use. They are a good solid light weight boot that covers most hunting needs. "These are the second pair I bought from CABELA'S, and re-purchased the same boots because the first pair lasted well, were very light boots. and comfortable, with little breakin time. They are uninsulated, but they are what I wore all winter here in central Wi., while chasing Coyotes on snowshoes until late March. As long as I was walking, they were warm enough being uninsulated, even at 5 below. I need a comfortable boot that will last for LOTS of walking miles Sept. through March hunting season. The last pair took a good beating that I delivered and held up."

"Despite the fact that this is a light duty boot, it was my absolute favorite for fall elk and deer. The old chevron rubber sole was almost silent, had very good ground feel, and excellent traction. In my view the new sole makes the boot not worth buying. I just spoke with technical support at Cabela's and asked them to file a report with product development; they said if enough people did that they would consider bringing the old sole back. So, if you feel that way--and a number of people who have written reviews do--then take a minute to call Cabela's. With the old sole, it was the best stalking boot I've tried and much less than its competition."
