Summit Razor SS Treestand,
November 20, 2009
By MountaineerDeer

"I purchased this climbing stand 2 yrs ago and could not be happier. I am actually a little intimidated by heights, but I feel so comfortable in this stand. It grabs the tree really well and I have found it to be very comfortable as well. It is also very quiet while moving around. I like the fact that the climbing bar can easily be folded up under your seat for more bow hunting room, but I usually leave it in place for the added safety. Don't be hesitant to spend a little more money to purchase a quality Summit Treestand because your life hangs in their reputation. And ALWAYS wear your safety harness!"

Summit Razor SS Treestand,

By ShootHuntFish

"The Razor was recommended to me by a number of people. It was ok to put together.Instructions were a little lacking, but it comes with a DVD that is VERY helpful. The Razor SS is a sit-stand model climber, with a front bar that folds completely down and out of the way. This is a big plus for bow hunters. The Razor is about 21lbs, easy to carry, and very comfortable. I fell asleep in it my first time out. Great product, I would recommend it to any hunter."

Bow Hunting with the Razor SS,
November 18, 2009
By Peterbuilt79
from NJ
|
"The Stand climbs as well and is as comfortable as the viper and the goliath which I also own. The fold under bar is a must when bow hunting. It enables you to shoot from all angles from you treestand without all the hassle of leaning over and around a typical climbing stand. It is the equivalent to a lock on treestand when it comes to taking the shot. I would definitely recommend this stand to any bow hunter."

Good Product,
January 27, 2009

"I have been sold on summit tree stands for years. I had the original fold up seat handclimber treestand. This is now the 4th summit climber I have purchased. I purchased this stand to bow hunt out of as it can be used as a sit down, stand up climber. As I have become older, this is a must for me in a stand. It climbs and bites well just as every other summit climber. The seat is comfortable just as the Viper Ultra I have as well. There is no problem with sitting for hours upon hours. The stand compresses together very well and is quick to unpack and pack. The adjustable back straps are great to. This allows the stand to be secured tight on the shoulder for a more comfortable walk. Overall a great buy, I look forward to shooting my first deer from it. There is however one negative feature I have already adjusted. The lock washers that were provided are the new standard with having the nut crimped. One of my lock nuts stripped out and was not secure. This lock nut almost worked out during a morning hunt which could have ended in disaster. I replaced the provided lock washers with the original small end w/ plastic lock washers. Now I feel secure. Other than that, no complaints from an oustanding company and product."

Great Stand,
December 28, 2008
By BWMFF

"What a great, luxurious stand. As always, this Summit stand is super quiet and looks great as well. I actually prefer to hunt out of this instead of my fixed position stands due to the comfort. The safety harness that is included has also become my permanent harness as its super easy to use while using your climber, and is also a perfect harness for using a lineman's belt while climbing up to a hang on using screw in steps or climbing sticks. With this product you have no excuses, and you get fool proof safety system plus a super comfy stand. I subtracted 1 star just because some of the aluminum on it was bent slightly when I received it and I had to bend it back with pliars to get a couple of the screws to fit."

Summit Razor for archery hunters,
October 13, 2008
By GHunter14
from Mount Airy, MD
|
"This is my first Summit treestand. I have only been up the tree with it a few times but I can't imagine a more comfortable treestand. The only slight modification that I would make to it is a small notch in the bracket for the climbing to allow it to be put in a rifle rest position. That would make this treestand the answer for every type of hunter out there. But for the archery hunters you can't beat the versatility with the ability to fold the climbing bar underneath your seat."

Summit Razor SS Treestand,

By BillGil3

"Great climber, comfortable, sturdy, and the fold down bar is nice. The stand still requires you to stand when you shoot your bow even though the bar folds down. It is light weigt and quiet and easy to set up. Shot a doe on the first day I used it and a buck the third time that I used it."

Good Stand,
September 22, 2008
By GSOhunter
from Greensboro, NC
|
"The stand is very good and I have used it several times now this archery season. I like the ability to use the climbing bar and then get it out of the way. It does not get five stars due to the poor paint job. even just opening the pacakage and taking the stand out knocks off some to the paint."

GREAT STAND!!!,

By jls3

"I have had my stand for 2 seasons now, and I love it very much. I can get set up anywhere I want every time I hunt. I have had great success with this stand. The assembly was difficult at first, but works well. The stand is super quiet. I set up on the edge of a cut bean field with deer in gun range. They never saw or heard me. I highly recommend this stand to any serious deer hunter."

Razor SS,
November 10, 2007
By Meateater
from VA
|
"Just got out of the woods with a spike Deer for the freezer. The stand worked like a Summit should. However, while assembling the stand I can say I wish more detail was paid to sewing the arm and climbing bar pads. The tie strap tunnels where the strap goes through were poorly sewed.I did have some smaller straps that did fit. But, being a long time Summit user all I have to do is call and they will send new pads. There Customer service is second to none.Still would not be in another stand but a Summit."

Nice Stand,

By Sadlk

"Overall I have been very pleased with my Summit Stand. It is very quiet, holds to the tree well and is very comfortable. I only had one problem with this stand. One of the hinges used to hold the climbing bar in place was drilled wrong and had to be redrilled. Once that was done I was able to fold the climbing bar under my seat."
