range of motion is key. Stretch panels on the knees and seat add comfort, whether sitting in a treestand or
stalking through heavy cover. The SST fabric is created using Lycra® blended with polyester for
incredible elasticity. The biggest news is the use of our Dimension™ Fleece for the shell. Unmatched
warmth and dead silence is the reason bowhunters have always worn fleece. The only problem has been when fleece is
printed, many of the intricate camo pattern details appear muted or washed out. Not anymore. Dimension Fleece

"my fiance bought this bibs for me for fathers day. and i used them from the begining of bowhunting though rifle season and to the end of bow season here in minnesota dec.31. we had -20 windchills and i never got cold. i had deer right under my stand and never know that i was there. THESE BIBS ARE ALL THAT AND MORE during rifle season it rained almost everyday and i never got wet. "they are awsome""

"I got these on sale, but they are definitely worth every penny. Just got done wearing them during Iowa late muzz season with morning lows at -15 and highs below zero. Stayed warm and comfortable. The breathable dryplus breathed nicely to keep heat down on long walks and was able to sit for 3+ hours at a time either in a treestand or just on the ground without a blind. Sitting in the snow was not a problem. No wetness on the hind end. They are completely quiet for stalking and I wish I had the jacket to complete a great late bow season outfit. Great product!!! Just wish now I would have bought the jacket when it was on sale. Not one negative about this product as far as performance. Price is very high. but like I said, you get what you pay for."

"Good quality. I bought it for hunting in Europe in not so extreme temperatures. It is very hot when you wear it. Allthough it is perfect, i like my other bibs more which is not insulated. Maybe the winter will give this bibs a chance to proof his capability in very low temperatures."

"I purchased the Xtreme bibs and jacket, for hunting up north, although they are pricey i don't believe you will find a better set of clothing for bowhunting. Comfy, silent, scent lok and warm. Size runs a bit big, i am 5'11" and got the medium bibs, didn't want them to drag the ground when walking to the stand and they won't, they aren't too short either. If you want to stay warm and silent these are the answer. Don't believe that i will have to purchase another set for years and years to come."

"I've been an avid hunter for more than 35 years and I've been in some very cold conditions. This past Fall (2008) I went on a 6 day Kansas archery hunt in late Nov. Where we were hunting we had record cold for 5 days. One morning it was 9 degrees when we left the truck and at dark when we came back in it was 11, the high for the day was 22. The guide had us stay in the stand ALL day. Fortunately, I had bought Cabelas's Bow Hunter Xtreme Parka and Bibbs. I stayed in the stand (metal ladder stand) all day, every day and the Xtreme kept me warm the entire time! I wore MTP Hunt Series Polar Weight crew and drawers, a sweat shirt and sweat pants, and a long sleeve t-shirt. The wind stayed 10-20 mph most of the time and still I wasn't cold. I honestly couldn't believe I could stay warm in those conditions -- but I did! The Xtreme is the best, the warmest and the most comfortable cold weather gear I have ever put on. The overall quality is superb as well as the cut and camo. Although I didn't get a chance at any "shooters", I did take a few practice shots from the stand. I could still move and draw freely and my accuracy was not inhibited at all. You will not be dissapointed if choose the Xtreme if you're hunting in really cold weather."

"I hunted tree stands the last 15 days of the 2008 Iowa seaon in these bibs. Temps down to -6 deg. & winds to about 25 mph. During that time I had over 150 skin heads & scrub bucks inside of 30 yards. I was looked at pretty hard several times but did not get busted once & I didn't come close to being cold. I believe they work as advertised. Comment.. Size seems to run large. I'm 6 foot & 200 lbs....XL with all adjustments taken up is still a little baggy. Suggestion.. Raise the cargo pockets a couple inches. They make better hand warmers than the zippered "hand warmer pockets" but are a tad low when you are standing up."

"I recently purchased the Bowhunter Extreme SST Bibs from the sale catalog. I used them on the last day of hunting. Temperature was in the 30's They were extremely comfortablle, quiet, fit very well, and were warm and roomy. I have to say they are the best pair I now own. The downside, they are expensive, even on sale. Also I wasn't able to get the jacket as it was not available in my size. I am looking forward to getting the jacket and maybe some other camo patterns as they become available."

The jacket is wonderful. As it is outlined in the review the Jacket is not waterproof, however performs very well in wet conditions and snow, with layering underneath. Cabelas may wish to consider DryTech this product as well because it is a little more streamlined than the "Parka" in relation to shooting any type of bow other than a crossbow. The jacket is true to size charts. Thanks for a great product!"

"I bought the bibs for fall/winter 08 season in Virginia. On a regular 30-degree day they seemed to work well. When the wind started blowing on a 30-degree day it became a different story and left me cold and wishing I had long underwear underneath. With the Dry Plus the fleece material was 100% waterproof and the fleece didn’t become water logged. The bibs for the most part were great though they could use some chest pockets and the fleece material picks up grass and stickers that are hard to remove. If I had it to do over I would have went with the bibs with the GORE-TEX material over the fleece."

"I just recieved the Bowhunter Xtreme Bibs and unfortunately the weather has not gotten cold enough here in N.C. to test them out yet. May have to be in late November before I get a chance to wear them to see how warm they actually are.
When I made the decision to purchase these bibs, I had several things that I wanted to make sure that they had which was to include: Fleece for quietness of the material, ScentLok, and to be Waterproof. These bibs had all 3 things. Cabela's also includes the Dimension Fleece which makes the camo patterns seem more realistic.
Like someone mentioned, they are a bit "Pricey" but if they work then I will not have to worry about buying hunting bibs for quite some time.
The material is thick and a little on the heavy side but the suspenders should hold them up fine.
There are a fair amount of pockets and the legs have zippers on the side to fit over your hunting boots."

"After owning several other pairs of bibs, I decided to break down and spend the extra money on the Cabela's Bowhunter Xtreme SST Bibs. They are worth every penny. Pros: Silent, Waterproof (Sit in a stand all day Snow in the morning, switching to sleet, then to freezing rain by mid-morning and then to rain in the afternoon), Warm, Comfortable Cons: The only thing I wish they had, is a pocket in the chest. If you are considering these, you won't be disappointed."

The only outfit you'll need,November 13, 2007

"I bought these bibs b/c I wanted one outfit that would work for every occassion and since purchasing, I've been able to see it excel in all the areas is makes claims in.
Examples: Scent-Lok - In a span of 3 hunts, while hunting from the ground, I had 5 deer come within 10 feet of me, including one that I could have reached out and touched (was in a tent), yet none of them ever picked up my scent or knew I was there.
Waterproof - there was a light rain falling one morning for about an hour and a half, and I staid completely dry and comfortable.
Quiet & Flexible - I used these bibs while walking, climbing treestands and using a climbing treestand, and there was never any snagging or pulling, while the noise was minimal. Breathable - where I hunt, most mornings so far have been around 30 degrees with lots of wind, but warming up to the low 60's by afternoon, yet I am always comfortable.
In summary, I love these bibs and would absolutely recommend them if you're looking for one outfit that meets all your needs. My biggest (and only) complaint is the price - they're expensive. I would love to have the matching parka, but cannot justify spending over $500 for a complete outfit."
