"I purchased the binoculars hoping that I would get a good product at a resonable price and thats what I got.
Unfortunately the company lowered the price by cheaping out in the strangest area -- the lens covers.
If Leupold would have spent an extra dollar and had nice fitting lens caps made I would have been happy. Instead I get these poorly fitting disks that will disapear the first day I'm in the field.
My guess is that they hope I will damage the lens' after I loose the covers and I'll have to buy another set of glasses."

"These binoculars are the best pair I have ever owned. They are extremely clear. I have looked through a pair of big "S" binoculars, and yes they are the best on the market. However, for the money I feel that these are the best purchase you can make."

"Great look, feel, weight and the Optics are every bit as good as the BIG BAD "S" 10 x 42 binoculars. Maybe better. My hunting partner had been riding me to get the BIG BAD "S" 10 x 42 binoculars for a long time. After our last hunt together, with him using mine part of the time, he hasn't once mentioned that again."

"Overall good clarity. They broke after very little use, but i was sent a new pair with no problems. The lens caps are useless. Leupold needs to rethink the lens caps."

"I was hunting with my son-in-law and he was using these binoculars to look for elk. He spotted a small herd and tried to point them out to me. Not until I looked through the noculars did I see the herd. We had a successful hunt. I bought a pair next weekedn."

"Excellent binocular. Over time I have tried many of the higher dollar binoculars and find that these ,8x42, deliver the same or better performance. Edge to edge clarity is perfect, no blurring, the twist in eye cups are great and they are optically outstanding. What else would one expect from Leupold? When you consider the purchase, do not let the psychology of other brand names sway your decision. If you purchase these units you will not be disappointed you did."

"I just returned from an Elk Hunt in Colorado, I used these every day from sun-up to sun-down and they worked very well. The clearity during the lower light conditions was better than expected. The only concern would be the unexpected fogging that occured if you make the mistake of breathing on them when putting them up to your eyes. The optical covers leave something to be desired but that would be the only draw back."

"A great set of Binoculars! Very clear and easy to use. Seem to be very durable as well. A good size to use for hunting and hiking. Had a little trouble hooking them up to my Cabela's binocular harness because the harness slots were so flat and small on the binoculars. You will need to use some wire rings or a strap connection. Other than that I have no complaints. I would recommend them for anyone!"

"We have not used these hunting as of yet, but have taken them to football games and out scouting. Extremely crisp images and much better magnification than our other set of binoculars. Size and shape is handier than other 10 by 50s that I have used. Seems to be fairly rugged construction also. I am not real impressed by the covers that go over the outside lenses. Rather flimsy and sure to fall off - in other words easily lost."

"The binoculars live up to the Leupold name and are a good value for the price. The construction is rugged and the view is bright and clear. I have used them on several moose hunts in northern Manitoba. On my last hunt I used the binoculars to glass a nice bull from a mile away that were able stalk and harvest."
