nice bino's,January 9, 2009
By snapperaldkjlsdkjfafrom Wisconsin
"I haven't had much of a chance to use them as I purchased them later in the year. But so far I would rate them a five star. I have a couple of other pair and these are much clearer and I can see alot better."

Good, but has one big issue,March 18, 2008
By Cowtownfrom Texas
"I think these feel great. They feel well made and I love the focus knob. It feels incredible. What I don't like (and this goes for all Leupold binoculars) is that it feels like I'm looking through a black tunnel and the image appears at the end of the tunnel. Pretty annoying in my opinion. I think there are better binoculars out there at this price level."

Hunter,November 14, 2007

"I have been extremely impressed with these binoculars. They are excellent in low light conditions. They are very sharp and clear. I live and hunt in Oregon were it can be very wet. They have never fogged up on me and I can hunt with them all day long. I would highly recommend these to anyone."

Great Midwest Binoculars,October 23, 2007
By MOHunterCarlfrom St. Louis, Missouri
"After recently using my new binoculars during a bowhunting trip with my lifelong friend, I was convinced that these binoculars were one of the best values I have purchased in a long time. While the Leupold Pinnacle's were not cheap, they were also not overly expensive. My friend had a cheaper set of binoculars made by another companyand that were only 1/4 the cost of mine. The Leupold's provided full clarity over the entire field of view while the cheaper binoculars were distorted at the outer part of the field of view. I wanted to spend enough money to get good quality, yet not overspend on features that really did not matter or just to get that 99th percentile. I highly recommend these 8 x 42's for Midwest hunting - it is money well spent."

The best Binoculars,September 20, 2007
By BuggaTfrom Tyrone, PA
"Purchased these for a gift for my husband. These are by far top of the line binoculars. He doesn't even have to remove his glasses, which was a problem with all the other ones he had."

Hunter in Michigan,April 16, 2007
By roggyfrom Up North in Michigan
"I purchased the 8x42 pinnacles in the spring of 2007. I did a significant amount of research before this purchase and found the pinnacles to be the optimal selection in my criteria:
1) Visual clarity and performance under low light conditions: I do a great deal of hunting and this was paramount. I've been very pleased in both aspects. The 8 power allows good image stability and the exit pupil of 5.25 provided by the 42 mm objective lens really illuminates at dawn and dusk.
2) Light weight: with a good bino system you don't even feel these. The weight was a problem that I had with some of the higher end glasses.
3) Rugged: the pinnacles are fogproof, waterproof, and shockproof. I had some real questions about fogproof because some glasses say fogproof while others don't. I contacted leopold directly and they are in fact considered internally fogproof. This is a big deal for mountain hunts where you really depend on your glasses.
4) Comfort and size: the pinnacles have a slick design with the eye cups. They are retractable and feel very solid in doing so. This allows quick adjustment of eye relief to accomodate both those with eye glasses and those without. I've tried them both ways and was pleased with the viewing comfort. The pinnacles are comfortable to use and I've used them for extended periods without eye fatigue. They are also compact for the quality of glasses.
5) Price: they are 90% of the glasses for half of the price.
Bottom Line: Great pair of binoculars that you won't regret buying. I wish I would have bought them years ago."

Winid River Binoculars,February 9, 2007
By KentuckyWaterfowlerfrom Kentucky
"I compared my set of these Wind River bino's to my friend's older pair of Zeiss in similar magnification and lense diameter. I thought the clarity and image sharpness especially at the edge of view was much better with my Leupold, and I was extremely impressed."

Outstanding Optics,October 25, 2006
By ElkFoolfrom Minnesota
"I just got back from a Selway Wilderness Elk hunt during which I put my new Pinnacles to the test. The optics are phenomenal with incredible clarity and resolution. Glassing day in and day out for hours on end can be both straining to the eyes and the body but the Pinnacles are so well balanced and have such great eye relief that I hardly knew they were there. I am both confident and comfortable in saying these might very well be the last binoculars I ever have to buy."
