"Took a chance on this one -- my wife wanted to put a 4" lens shade on the front of her 4-12 x 50 Leupold scope, and that meant the cover that came with the scope was not going to fit. Even Leupold didn't have a listing for the proper size cover to fit this rig, but the people at Leupold told me the extra large cover SHOULD stretch enough to fit. It does, fits perfectly, and I'm happy with it. It is well made, looks good, and protects ALL of the scope, not just the lenses."

"I have used about everything to hunt in wet conditions to try to keep my scope clear. I do not like 'flip-up' covers, as they require me to take my eye off the target. I still hunt and stand hunt in Maine in rain/mix/snow conditions where temperature changes and humidity can fog your scope up without notice. I was trying to imagine the perfect scope cover, when I stumbled onto it made by Leupold and sold at Cabela's (I have a VXII scope, so this seemed appropriate). With a little practice, I can yank this cover off with one hand quickly, revealing a clean/clear/dry scope every-time! I love to dear hunt in the rain because I can walk quietly, my scent is not being spread far, and I can walk up very close to cover that I know holds deer. Sometimes, the wetter the better, and I even wear my fishing waders and fishing jacket under wool outerwear to stay out all day in the rain. I am not afraid to wade up to my waist in a swamp if it gets me to bedding grounds. Now, I do not have to constantly check my scope. At days beginning and end, I clean the scope with a small micro-fiber towel I keep in a zip lock storage bag, and store the gun with the cover on it. Buy one!!!"

"I've used these scope covers on my deer and elk rifles here in Oregon where hunting in the rain or snow is common. They work great to keep your scope clear and dry. Last year I hunted elk on horseback in Montana. This cover not only protected my scope while hunting but also while in the scabbard. And it made sliding the rifle in and out of the scabbard very easy. Other types of bikini covers didn't work well at all due to increased friction when sliding in or out of the scabbard."

"These work very well to use in place of the factory supplied scope covers. I strap them to my scopes and keep them on all the time while hunting. When ready to shoot the covers are easily flipped up but since they are strapped on to the scope the cover is not lost in the heat of the hunt. They keep the scopes dry and dust free besides protecting the scope from scratches and are very durable and have no parts that can snag or break."
