Unhappy,
November 9, 2009
By PaulfromWestfield

"I never got to use my Ultra Ear in the field. I was trying them on for fit and ease of use and was adjusting the sound control, when one of the controls broke off. I found the control very difficult to use. I was unable to get the volumn I wanted by simply "touch adjusting". I returned them for credit rather than replacement."

ultra ear ITC,
October 19, 2009
By lenelson

|
"After nearly 30 years in a high noise industry, lumber manufacturing, I have severe hearing loss. I used my ultra ear on a recent hunting trip in backwoods Idaho. I was amazed at the quality of the product. I could actually hear the animals as they ran through the brush. I also was able to hear the wolves howl in the late evening, what an experience. I would highly recomend this to all my friends."

BEST IN-EAR PROTECTION,
October 4, 2009
By BOXCARHENRY
from Hitchcock, Texas
|
"I bought the Ultra Ear and the Woodland Whisper ITE and the Ultra ear had much better amplification. In fact I could not tell there was any amplification with the woodland model. The Ultra Ear worked so well that I was hearing conversations 50 to 75 feet away. Yet they block most of the sound of large caliber guns. I don’t think they are as good as the ear muff type of ear protection, but I shoot Cowboy Action Shooting and I can’t wear a cowboy hat and ear muffs."

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY,
August 25, 2009
By softail1965

"I am not certain where all of the positive feedback ratings for this product are coming from, but these are truly junk!!! They are uncomfortable to wear, have almost continuous feedback/screeching, and any wind whatsoever render them useless. And how many days does one spend in truly calm conditions during a hunt? I threw mine in the trash after just a few days of trying them afield and just hope one of the more expensive products will help me out."

""Ultra Ear ITC" is a very poor hearing enhancer but functions reasonably well as a set of ear plugs --- except for the "clicking" noises it generates!"

EXCELLENT,
February 3, 2009
By LINDSY45

"I PURCHASED THIS ULTRA EAR FOR MY GRANDMOTHER WHO INSISTS THAT SHE DOES NOT NEED A HEARING AID. WELL HAVING THE TELEVISION DROWN OUT THE HOUSE WAS GETTIG TO BE TOO MUCH. AFTER PUTTING THESE IN HER EARS, SHE YELLED AT ME TO TURN DOWN THE TELEVISION BECAUSE IT WAS TOO LOUD.
I PURCHASED TWO SETS BY MISTAKE. MY HUSBAND TRIED ON ONE SET AND WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THEM THAT HE PACKED THEM UP AND PUT THEM IN HIS HUNTING PACK.
THIS IS AMAZING. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THERE IS FEEDBACK WHEN USING THE TELEPHONE. OTHER THAN THAT, THEY ARE GREAT."

"These ear protectors/assistants were ordered prior to Christmas as a present. Arrived on time and with batteries. I am adjusting them for my purpose at present. Alas, I paid close to $60 for them prior to Christmas and post-Christmas they are listed in a new catalogue as on sale for 50% less. This hurts. But they work great. Would love to try them in the hunting area."

Good Return For The Money.,
November 3, 2008
By Anonymous

"It has some tuning and noise problems, but it's not $150.+/- per ear like Walker's Game Ear. If you frequently hunt at a duck or upland bird club, go with the Walker's Game Ear. If you hunt only a few times a year this will be sufficent once you adjust for sound and properly fit it to your ear. Without a good fit you'll get loud feedback noise. Try several positions until the noise is gone. It takes a while. Turning the volume to full doesn't help matters either and really isn't necessary."
