It may look like a metal dog bone, but this tough little tool has a bite all its own when it comes time to tow. Once your tow strap is looped around a vehicle's tow hook (ideal for loop-style tow straps and closed tow hook combinations) tighten the strap and then slip the Cinch Bone between the end loop and flat portion of the strap to create a firm connection that won't let the tow strap slip under pressure. When the tow is over, the Cinch Bone is easily slipped out and stored until it's needed again.

"great little add-on to your recovery straps. the bones slip in and out real easy. before, i've had lots of difficulties with straps, etc, getting too tight to break down. sometimes you dont need a lot of room, and sometimes you do. i dragged some pretty hefty logs out of the woods, where i could work em down. these bones were great! what an idea! after 40 some years of using chains, straps, ropes, etc. they will be a constant part of the gear i carry in my f-250."

"Wish this simple but handy item had been around years ago. Saves a lot of improvised knot tying and a lot more time "unknotting" tow straps after the recovery has been accomplished. However, the user MUST be sure to cover the tow straps with a rug, carpet or even an article of clothing in order to prevent injury in the event the tow strap breaks."
