"We gave this to our kids as a Christmas present. Used it immediately after Christmas dinner. The kids (between ages of 2-5) rolled the ball around the living room for 30 mins while we cleaned up from dinner. When we were done, ice cream was ready.
I realize this was designed for camping and not the great indoors, but it was a great activity and the kids loved it. The ice cream was pretty good too."

"Our son is in the army and when he saw in your catalog the ice cream ball his first comment was he could make ice cream in his barracks. We purchased one for his birthday and he has been making homemade ice cream in about a half hour regularly. He says it works very good."

"Really like the Ice Cream Ball. We bought 2, one for a gift and one for us. Until we got this, we had been making ice cream using baggies. Found that on occassion the salt would permeate the baggies or leak. We (I) had been wanting an Ice Cream Ball for a while and finally decided to spend the money. While the price seems high, it was definetely worth getting the larger ball. We get four decent size servings.
The bad part is that it cannot be kicked, dropped, or abused in anyway, so smaller children have to be taught some care.
It is heavy when it is filled up with the ingredients. This will exhaust small children, so be prepared to help.
Helpful hints: after 10 min, scrape the insides to help it freeze faster. We got a hard plastic spoon, the suggestion of bamboo was just too clumsy for me, and I wore more than I ate.
Also, putting a towel down on the floor/lounger when making this by myself help to keep dog hair, sand, dirt off the ball. Condensation is a definite!
We will definetely buy more to give as Christmas gifts to our neighbors with kids. Just the greatest thing."

"This was a Mother's Day gift that we took camping this last weekend. It worked great and the kids had a fun time rolling it around on the table. Just make sure you eat it right away as it does not stay frozen for long. Also, it took a bit longer than the instructions say, but nontheless it was fun!"

"I thought this product would be fun and keep the kids entertained while the adults visited. The ice against the plastic was loud and very distracting. Also, when used indoors, the outside of the ball becomes very sweaty thus making the carpet wet. The ice cream was just OK, the sides of the canister get very frozen but the middle never really gets ice cream consistency. The sides need to be scraped every couple of minutes because that part becomes solid. Scraping only once or twice does not work."

"Yes, I tried this at home the weekend I got it, and it does really work. It was a little difficult trying to scrape down the sides that have frozen and to get a good creamy consistency throughout, but when you're camping in Texas' 90 degree weather, anything close to ice cream is great."

"The new MEGA is great and fixes one issue I had with the Original Ice Cream Ball. I have a big family and we like our ice cream! MEGA makes a quart in about 10 more minutes.
