"Thought I'd take a chance and order some boots with the cabela's tag. They seemed to be made well enough, but they were too heavy for my liking. I will order again, just not this style. As always, cabelas was very customer oriented on the return."

"These boots are well constructed and give me good support. Been getting a lot of wet weather lately but my feet are always bone dry. I like them and everyone comments about how good they look. The leather the boots are constructed of is soft but still seems like it could take alot of rough and tumble. Haven't experienced many different boots but these are about 4lbs/pair, maybe on the heavy side."

"I was concerned about buying a Cabelas brand boot being a Red Wing wearer most of my life but these boots have satified me. I have had them just over a month and I don't like taking them off. Hardly no break-in period, comfortable right from the get-go. I'm not saying they are as good as a Red Wing but for less than half the price they they are close."

Size runs a little large,January 5, 2009

"Great boots but the size runs a little large. I should have returned the boots for a smaller size but I got them all scuffed up b/4 it became painfully obvious they were too large. My left foot was slipping ....and I got a huge blister on the back of that ankle. I wear two socks on that foot now and it is better - but still not a perfect fit. Other than the fit problem I think they are fantastic well made boots that look good and should last a long time."

"I got these boots for using at work. I work at a bird farm and some times I have to take my boots on and of several times. These boots have been great. I dont have to mess with shoe strings and just like most of the boots that I have got from cabelas there is not much break in time. They are very comfortable and they havent leaked moisture. I do have to say that you should wear long socks with them so that your socks will stay up."

"Cabela's Gore-tex, "Badlands" 11" Wellingtons. I bought these boots about three weeks ago and I love them. They were immediately comfortable and did not require a separately purchaces insole as some other models have. The work boot construction seems very sturdy and the combination of sole and insole is great for both walking and standing. I use them for general casual wear, including walking the dog in the rain, or heavy morning dew, and my feet have not gotten wet yet. Since these boots are not insulated, they are perfect for year round wear, as the wearer can provide cold weather insulation through choice of socks. I gave them four rather than five stars since I have not worn them long enough to verify the durability first hand, but from the quaility of construction I am confident that I will have them for a long time. A little Mink Oil is great for occasional scuff marks."

"I work construction (commercial work) so I'm on concrete floors all day long. I've been a red wing shoe man all my life, no more, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned! I've wore them for two weeks now and have absolutely NO complaints what-so-ever. I get home from work and for the first time in years my feet don't hurt, my legs don't hurt, nothing hurts! I would highly recommend these boots to anyone who might be thinking about trying them. Also the first pair of boots I didn't have to break-in, in a long time."

"At the end of a hard day , my feet tell me to get off them . I have a wide foot size 91/2 so I thought I would try this pull on in 10 EE . The day the boots came I tried them on and walked around on the carpet a while and they felt fine . The next day I spent the whole day on my feet with these boots on and my feet were not crying , these boots are great ! If I were to be a little picky I would say the tops are a little tight on my legs . I think this will change when they are broken in . Give them a try ."

"Upstate NY's seasons always require more than one pair of footwear. These boots are my answer to that problem. Outside...wear a heavier sock. Driving (400miles daily) comfortable, but you control the insulation factor. Just an added note... I was "sold" on these while walking across a frozen puddle, ice broke, eight plus inches of water and DRY feet !!!"

"Nice boots but they really cut into your shins and calves for the first week or so. I've never had a slip on do this before. Once they got broke in though they are wearing comfortably."
