Shower saver,October 26, 2009
By Ohiobearhunterfrom Cincinnati, OH
"I have used these since they first came out.
I now use the 2 1/2 gallon version. The screw on cap and screw out nozzle are real improvements over the older models.
We have even used these at home when there has been an extended power outage."

good basic unit,October 10, 2009
By gala62from Rhode Island
"We bought this for our popup camper when dry camping recently. After getting it up to temp, instead of hanging it outside, we rigged it to hang inside our bathroom enclosure (our camper shower no longer works). Nozzle gave a good stream of water and was easy to turn down low or off. We thought it was well worth the money."

So So,October 4, 2009
By bigbore444marlinfrom Hazel Green, Alabama
"It is well made but, it did not seem to worm up enough. I left it out all day after hunting in Wyoming for antelope. The highs were in the 70's but the water never got near 70 deg. I even had the bag laying on a dark tarp. Constucted well but not impressed."

stearns outdoors sun shower,September 10, 2009

"Works as well as any sun shower I have owned and the temperature guage feature is nice if you want to avoid scalding yourself. Only suggestion I have is to increase the size of the fill hole."

Stearns Outdoors Sun Shower,August 10, 2009
By showerqueen09from northern North Dakota
"Loved the shower. Heated the water to 120 degree in 6 hours - air temp was about 75 degrees. Had to move it to the shade to cool the water a bit. Enough water for two adults to shower head to toe including washing our hair."

Taking a shower,August 5, 2009
By sezmo
"Used product for 1st time 2 weeks ago. Wife and I have cabin deep in woods (no electric, no running water). Air temp was 78 degrees max, left in sun from 8am to 1pm, water temp was 110 degrees. Very comfortable considering our circumstances. No problem with the nozzle."

Great solar shower,July 29, 2009
By wlb2750from Dartmouth, Ma
"The 2.5 gallon solar shower is ample for 1 person with water left over. Heats to 110 degrees in no time. Took it in the wilderness for a 50 mile canoe trip with scouts. Leak proof threaded filler cap unlike some of the others that have a stopper type filler cap. I put a piece of cheese cloth with an elastic over the filler hole to prevent small particles from entering bag when filling from pond/stream. It does fill better if you use some type of pouring container. Well made, comes with a pvc pipe thru the top for extra stength when hanging. Some of the group had other brands but this one by far outperfomed them all."

Outdoor Sun Shower,July 24, 2009
By Walden1from Southern Tier NY
"A sturdy, well designed shower, great for camping or anywhere there are no facilities available. I use mine at my cabin, fill half way with water, let it sit for 4 hours to so, then add cool water to adjust the temperature. DO USE CAUTION before using to be sure the water is not scalding hot. A good design, the nozzle works well and is easy to use. I would highly recommend this shower."

A Hot shower in the Field!,April 30, 2009
By glondonfrom Southern CA
"I've used these before when hunting Antelope in Wyoming and it's a great product. It gets the water very warm and has enough capacity for a good shower without worrying about running out of water..... at least for a guy! I'm sure my daughter would want 10 gallons, but for most hunters and campers it can;t be beat. I have used others; this is the best I've tried. Well worth the cost as these lasts many years."

Stearns Solar Shower,November 21, 2008
By fibo
"We purchased this solar shower to use during Hurricane Repair to our vacation home on a remote island. It was the only available shower for us. We have used a Sterans shower previously in our Canadian Cabin, and we KNOW IT WORKS! This is the only solar shower we have found that acutally heats up almost hotter than necessary. The temperature gauge on the bag is helpful.....while on island, we put the bag out around 9:30 a.m. and by mid afternoon, we had to take it out of the sun, due to how hot the water was getting!
I think the only thing I didn't like about the shower, was the way it turns on and off......when your hands are soapy, it is difficult to turn the knob even with the ribs. no big deal, but when you have to conserve water, this was a tiny bit stressful for me.
We have used other solar showers, and this is the only one we have found that actually heats up sufficiently. For two weeks, this solar shower was a blessing, and I would highly recommend it for anybody looking for a solar shower."

Stearns is the one to get,October 22, 2008
By ScottA33
"Every review I've read on this site tells you how nice it is to use a solar shower when you're camping. That's true. I'm here to tell you *which* solar shower to get. I've tried four other brands, including the older model Stearns. The modern Stearns wins for the following reasons: 1) thickest material. 2) Black on one side, clear on the other. 3) temperature indicator. 4) screwtop filling port (older Stears used a plug, which eventually leaked)."

"when you are camping for a while you must shower...this is awesome and extends the time you can spend out of doors. better than a pot of hot water, takes awhile to heat up though, and you do need some sun.."
