"I installed the light on my boat and have used it. Plenty of focus and bright enough for the money (I also installed 2 drive lighst each side of the spot,to open the field of vision around my boat). The process to install was easy and the base plate fitted the light housing snuggly. The operation by remote is surprizingly easy and the movement has 2 speed settings. The slower is nice for finite adjustments. I was surprised how little light was emitted when the rock shield was on the face of the light! I thought it wasn't working at first then realized I had left the cover on after hauling my boat. duh. overall, I would rather buy this light than spend the huge amount for one of greaster candlepower and no greater maneuverability."

"This is a great light . It has two speeds of movement which is nice . The remote , I have velcroed to my dash so it stays where I have it in reach at all times while ''underway'' . I also wired the light with a cigarette lighter end so I can plug it in when I need to . I also had also used the ''mounting shoe '' to mount it to my T-Top . Which it slips into very nicely . You just have to silicone the rubber gasket to the lights base so it will not move when you slip it in to the shoe. Cabele's was very helpful with the special ordering of the shoe for me . The lights beam goes for at least 3/4 of a mile , and is very bright . It is WELL worth the money . I highly recommend it . I would definitly get another one ."

"Had to remove the canvas to weld another base for the mounting bracket. Removal of the canvas was required to aluminum weld another mounting base, otherwise the light would only work offset to the starbord side, GPS, Radar, VHF anntenna, in the way. Other than this, the light works very well, don't count on 360 degree rotation, stop @ 345 - 350 then rotate back."
