"Awesome comfort right out of the box. They are very easy to get on and off. The fit was true to size. They cost more but the quality is superior to the Rocky Snake Boot that I have owned previously. This is my second pair of Danner Boots (the others are a work boot) and the ONLY boat I will purchase due to the quality."

"I recently bought these boots after a friend here in Georgia was bitten by a 5' timber rattler. Even though anti-venom was started within 4 hours he nearly died then nearly lost part of his leg. He spent 7 days in ICU and had a hospital bill in excess of $500,000 (anti-venom is expensive). He is up and around today but it will be months before he knows how much permanent damage he has. It really creeped me out.
I was willing to pay a little extra to get a pair of boots that I would wear, and these boots have been great. They are lighter than I expected and were confortable out of the box (though I would break them in before hiking all day in them). The lacing system makes them easy on and off. I think it is as fast as a zippered boot.
I wear an 11 street shoe so I ordered an 11 1/2 to wear a medium weight boot sock. It worked for a heavy weight sock but too big for a medium sock. I wear this in hot weather so I exchanged it (thanks Cabela's) for an 11 and it fits fine.
I looked at ordering a snake boot sock, but the reviews were mixed. The 10" midweight Cabela' outfitter sock works well."

Snake Boots Kick!,

"I am a boot guy. I have Chippewa, Danner, Rocky, Red Wing, and Hoffmans. I put these Danners on right after arrival and wore them for a full day, wondering if they would stay comfortable. Wow! At times I even forgot I had them on they were so comfortable. The lacing system makes the tall boots a snap to adjust when you lace 'em up, and easy to take off at the end of the day. They are amazingly lightweight. I'll probably get those tall boot socks next, just to ace the combo. Great buy!"

"I've only used them for approx. 2 months, but the comfort level is wonderful. We hunt hard as our season runs from August to January. They are, so far, the best snake boots I have ever owned. They have also remained waterproof."

"I had been looking at these boots for turkey hunting in Arkansas. Where I hunt there are many different types of terrain making these boots ideal. They are ready to wear right out of the box. There comfortable, keep your feet dry and have an incredible feel to them. Lacing up a boot like this can be time consuming but not with these boots I have been wearing Danner boots for years. There sizing is consistent every time. I would recommend them for sure."

"the best boots i have ever bought,first time i wore these boots straight out of the box for 10 hours. not once did my feet rub up or get sore, as my feet normally do with new boots.the grip these boots have is outstanding.not once have i slip in these boots,wet and moss covered logs,mud and clay are no problem for these boots.i think there are 9 most deadliest snakes in the world in australia we have 7 of them, so there was no second thoughts about buying these boots ,now i can concentrate more on my hunting and not where i'm putting my foot, thanks to danner and cabelas."

"These are the most comfortable boots out of the box I have ever purchased. They're not 100% broken in of course, but they are 100% more comfortable than any other boot I've ever put on for the first time.
They seem to be very well made and provide good protection for your feet and legs (south of your knee of course). Keep in mind though, no boot will protect your hands, arms, crotch area, etc... so do not get complacent having them on. Be aware of your surroundings."

"I've worn these boots for 3 years now and they are great. They were comfortable right out of the box and remain so when spending long days afield. I normally wear them for spring Gobbler as I hunt in Kansas, Missouri, West Virginia and Pa. I also wear them when scouting in late summer and after rifle season. They are waterproof and very light. In fact, they may look heavy but actually have great balance and are very light on your feet. Fortunately, I have not had to proof test them with the critters they were meant to protect me from! I highly recommend them!"

"Very well constructed. Higher than other snake boots.Heavy padded collar for the calf.Molded sole appears durable and support is felt and comfortable. The boot string eyelets are spaced well apart and are the type that allows easy lossening of the string allowing very easy on and off."

"These boots are a full length 16" snake boot...not 14 or 15". They slip on and off nicely without fully unlacing them. I put them on before daybreak and wear them untill after sun down like they're not even there. Nice looking too."

Snake bite prevented.,

"My wife purchased the Danner snake boots for me to hunt in because our property has alot of snakes. Three days after she bought the boots, I wore them to the hunting club and they saved my life. I saw a 4 foot Copperhead in the road and ran over it with my truck. I got out of the truck to look at the snake while it was still under my tire and in just a matter of seconds the snake struck the top of my Danner boot and hooked its fangs in the top of my boot. It scared me to death, but the boots saved me from death. The boots really work and can save your life. Please spend the extra money to buy quality boots because you cant put a price on your life. Thank you so much Danner and Cabelas. Dr. Smith"

"Just as I expected from Cabelas and Danner. Fast shipping and a great boot. I read the other reviews and that's what made the difference in me buying these boots. I'm not dissapointed. The first time I wore them, they felt broken in. The only thing I would say is they may run slightly large. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I hope I never have to test them."
