"IF YOU WANT A GUN THAT KICKS LIKE A MULE THAN THIS IS FOR YOU. THE GUN IS SO LIGHT THAT IT KICKS REALLY BAD. IM A CONSTANT SHOOTER AND HUNTER AND IT IS THE WORST KICK I HAVE. IF YOU WANT A LITTLE LESS KICK GET THE 20 G. OTHERWISE ITS WELL MADE AND ACCURATE. JUST WAY OVER PRICED."

"These barrels are machined very well. 3006 and 223 cals shoot identical all shots are touching @ 100 yds. I would recommend using seperate scopes. Also the locking hinge pin to improve the accuracy. Thanks Cabelas and TC for a great product."

"I have 3 barrels for my Encore: 209x50 muzzleloader, .223 bull barrel, 20 ga rifled fluted barrel. All are A#1 shooters! The .223 handles both the 55gr and 68gr bullets fine. Sluggers - if you want a nice slug gun, try the 20 ga barrel and shoot a 3 inch Federal Barnes expander."

"This barrel is very accurate and I would highly recommed it. I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9 40 mm mounted on it . We are shooting 1-1.5 in. groupes at 100 yards, using T/C shockwave sabots 300gr loaded with 150 gr of Pyrodex. TSE"

"I have this in the .204 Ruger and the .50 cal. I have quite a few guns and this is one of my more accurate and fun to shoot. The .204 is extremely accurate you could'nt get much more accuracy out of a custom built bolt action rifle. If thinking about buying a good varmint gun get this in .204!"

Just a new breach plug,

"I have a T/C 209X50 Encore rifle. It is the most accurate black powder rifle I have ever seen. A deer at 200 yards has no chance at all. The Pro Hunter is just an Encore barrel with an improved breach plug. The Encore is 26 inches and the Pro Hunter has the same amount of rifling from the end of the breach plug to the muzzle. I has hoping for 2 more inches to increase velocity and maintain accuracy. This is not the case.
With that said, the T/C Encore in any form is the best, most accurate black powder rifle money can buy."

"I recently coupled this prohunter barrel with my handloads to consistently achieve three shot groups (center to center) under 1.25 inches at 300 yards. The use of an inch-pound torque screwdriver to tighten the forearm screws was recommended by a friend and also seems to have an effect on repeatable accuracy without zero change after removing and replacing barrel/scope combinations. Outstanding accuracy from a "production" barrel."

"I've been a caplock muzzleloader for years. With in the introduction of the inlines, I waited until there were a fair amount of data available before making the plunge. When I did decide to get one, along came the ProHunter. Let me tell you, this rifle will change your whole outlook with regards to black powder/muzzleloading hunting. I even used it during the shotgun deer season in my state this past year. The 9-point dropped 30 yds. from bullet impact.
Can't wait to add other barrels/calibers to mine!"
